3000 people died at the giving of the Law, 3000 were saved at the giving of the Holy Spirit. I think God was telling us something.

I got the gift of tongues lying on my bed at 10 30 at night in the dark , 22 yrs ago . Fire sucked through every pore outside of my body into the inside and came out of my mouth like fire speaking in tongues . It gave me a feeling greater than drugs ever could I mean wow! I’ll never forget I had only been saved 3 months was 20 yrs old. I absolutely noticed the difference in my walk with the LORD it lit me on fire my hunger for the LORD has never been quenched . Tell GOD u believe Jesus died for you to inherit these gifts and demand it from HIM . That’s what I did I tried to make the tongue and gibberish coming out and I knew it wasn’t it but I tried nothing happened so the next night I did that again and I knew it was me doing it I got angry I said GOD I demand the gift of speaking in tongues in Jesus name and tried it again and bam it happened and wow it was real! I love you all the devil hates that gift he persecutes it more than any other .

Basically, Pentecost was a supernatural act of the same GOD that confused the languages at the tower of Babel.

And here I was always thinking Pentecost was in observation of the appointed days and having been given the 10 Commandments. Then then upper room experience was one experience and taking the Word to all the world. Shalom for the week ahead Rabbi.

I had a dream a few months ago that I was staring at a night sky full of bright stars and one caught my I and when I kept staring at it and all of the sudden it started falling and as I was staring at this star falling it tuned into this majestic angel with long blonde hair and a golden armor and now in my dream I’m in my house and I look out of my window and I seen the angel land in my front yard and a few seconds later I hear my doorbell ring and when I went to swing the door open I woke up

Rabbi, thank you for your teaching. I was raised Pentecostal and I remember when I was about 8 years old someone began talking in a language I had never heard AND still have never heard AND then another person interpreted what was said! I was taught that it was God's language and that was what I believed for many years. But I no longer believe that way because of what the Bible says about it. It's not the language of heaven, but people making other people believe that GOD gave them the ability to speak HIS HOLY language. I believe what the Bible says, who knows, maybe these people were drunk OR??? just had to share that with you Rabbi, GOD bless you and I love you Rabbi.

No, they didn't speak languages but the ones heard peter in their own language and the others in yhere own language.

We bypass our own understanding when we speak in tongues to preach the good news not in our understanding but from the mind of Mashiak

Rabbi -Thank you for the word today! I am so glad you confirmed for me that speaking in tongues prayer is different than the gifting of speaking in tongues as they did in Pentecost and your own experience! I have recognized for a while that they are different - but I often hear from other brothers or sisters that the gifting is the same. To which I have to humbly disagree with.

I recall there being a teaching in one of the books about gift of speaking in tongues and that there should be an interpreter if someone speaks in tongues to ensure the message is passed on to the group or congregation.

I appreciate your wisdom and how much I have learned from you over the years!

Rabbi, is it not 50 days after the firstfruits? (Saturday- 50 days after is the First day of the week which is the Feast of bread)
Jesus rose on the firstfruits. (Saturday just before sundown)

The Apostles were speaking in other languages, that seems to be the gift of tongues.
Howbeit everyman heard in his own language.

The Holy Spirit or Ruach Ha Kodesh", means: "Wind Of God!"

@rchambers1993 i commented to you & used some scripture to help, as i too questioned this, but my comment from over 24 hrs ago has dissapeared, as has the comment i placed to you 2 minutes ago.
Read Acts 10 at Cornelius house. Nothing about the gift of speaking many languages in tongues, as is a gift in 1 Cor 12, but sounds more like the prayer language at Cornelius house, as it states they magnified the Lord.
I too magnified the Lord God when i recieved the baptism in the Holy Spirit 32 yrs ago, as i believe to be the prayer language only spoken to God that came rolling out of me, as i was so thankful to Him for saving and filling me.
I was water baptized a fw months later.

I had that happen to me in a Spanish speaking church god bypassed the interpreter and started speaking through me in Spanish I just thought I was speaking in tounges women’s were dancing in the isles we got on the bus and pasor Roberto asked me if I know Spanish I was like no he said you were preaching in Spanish to this day I have no idea what god said I didn’t ask
