Is the A7III still worth it?

I still have the a7ii and love it for landscapes.

Is it a pro camera for portraits?

I am thinking to buy this camera but can we use vintage lens on it? and whats the market price for it? as of now

Thanks for the insights. I'm moving on from a Canon 7D from 2013 to a full-frame camera and I think the Sony A7III is the camera. Retailing at $1850 US, new w 28-70mm lens is probably going to be my next purchase.

I purchased mine brand new, shutter died after less than 2000 shots over the course of 1 year, manufactured out of paper-thin shutters My A7Riii has been perfect, I may look at the iv when it comes out but I'd never waste that much money on a camera that the manufacturer won't repair an obvious manufacturing defect.

Sony a7iii with a 24-70gm is a beast!!!!!!!! Love my a7iii

I have the Sony a AX 700 for video and this camera for stills and I can shoot video on it of course as well😊 for the Sony a7iii I made a ridiculously low price offer to someone on eBay and they surprisingly took it and I did the same thing with the video camera so I ended up with both of them for roughly $2000. I’m just throwing that strategy out there for anyone who wants a Camera but I can’t afford it like myself.

A7iii is still the best entry level full frame on the market, so yes still worth it. Yes it has flaws, but bang for buck it’s better than all others.

simple answer yes. get it . one of the greatest cameras of its generation.

I Shoot with a Sony 24-105mm f4 G on A7 iii, general photograhy, primarily travel with variation of street, buildings, people, portrait, and some landscape. I also do some video coverage of the same. The equipment combination is practical, but, I’m not thrilled with rendering or sharpness.
My question is would I achieve an improvement by upgrading the camera to A7 Riii and keep the 24-105mm?
I would gradually add primes like Sony 24mm f1.4 GM, 55mm f1.8 &/or 85mm anyway,
or should I keep the A7 İİİ and move to primes replacing the 24-105 zoom now?
Either way, is the 24mm f1.4 GM the right one for my genre of photography.

Had mine 2 years and it’s still brilliant,amazing detail and very reliable.

A7iii still a very solid camera but at this point I think a new photographer or someone looking to upgrade should wait til it goes on sale bc the new one (A7iv) is out when that happens.

For those who never owned but want to own a Sonny camera: the quality control is the issues, which I never experienced from Canon or Nikon products. Sometimes it is just disappointing to see that happen.

The A7iii is perhaps one of if not the best camera ever made to date.

Straight forward.... I own the a7iii and was thinking of getting another full frame Sony was leaning towards the a7R iii but keep going back to the a7iii after watching each review or comparison... So guess my a6100 is going to be sold and me second camera will be another a7iii...

I went from a 7rii to 7iii and I must say, this camera is the best camera out here, cost and functionalities are on point!

Any thoughts out there on the value of upgrading my a6400 to one of these? Better to use? Better images in real life? I already use FF 85mm & 28mm lenses on the 6400.

I have been saving up for this camera for a while. As I finally have saved enough for it I am also looking at the Fuji xt4 but over all I think I’m sticking with going with the a7iii
