Located right off I-70 just East of Grand Junction in the small town of Palisade Colorado, this adventure hike & climb is as Beautiful as it is Convenient and, a Burrly workout as well. The REI Trail mapping app was a great resource for gauging this climb! Be warned, summer conditions can be Dangerously Hot. Late December was a bit cold and snowy but Spectacular as well with Frosty Views of the Grand Mesa across Grand Valley standing 11,500' tall. This hike is only 2 miles one way but, the 2,000' vertical gain makes it a Solid Workout and Challenging with potentially loose conditions during dry conditions, most common. . . DJI Mavic drone footage gives perspectives of the Grand Junction area and surrounding hiking, climbing and scenic assets.
