Great stuff! That particular 590S seems like a real winner. You've been running the shorter 12 gauge length for some time now. Do you suggest running any barrel length shorter than 14 inches? Or is that the golden standard you've found for shorter 12 gauge platforms? The new Rex Silentium SEG12 begs questioning the effectiveness of a more compact 12 gauge platform. Could be a badass pairing with your 590S!

fantastic, do you have any recommendations for stock fore ends? grip tape? Is modification even necessary for faster shooting or is just practicing better?

Shit about as good as a vang comp barrel which turns cheapo buck into federal flitecontrol.

Be interesting to mic the bore at several places, particularly around the forcing cone to see if it's been lengthened.

Hmm, I wonder if they changed up the forcing cone to maybe improve performance with the mini shells and in the process tighten up patterning for regular 2 3/4" too.

That is damn impressive! I just patterned my new 18" 590 with fetter and Winchester buck, achieving the same and worse patterns at 10yards vs what you did with Fiocchi at 20!

Mr. Neumayer, do you have any opinions on shotgun optic mount height? I'm just getting started in the shotgun game, and I was wondering why everybody uses absolute cowitness on shotguns one for the past couple of years everybody's been using extra tall mounts on AR's.

My ltt1301 will be here soon, and I was thinking a unity mount and a 503, but all the clued in folks seem to be running pistol dots down low.

That's crazy. I tried some super cheap 00 buck in mine, think it was seller and bellot at 25 yards and I think I got mabey 4 pellets on a target very close to that size......and it was edge to edge. Mabey my barrel just doesnt group as well?

I found Aguilla MiniBuck to be fine out to 15 yards and very good at more common 10 yards in for HD. I DID a buckshot size selection video at 11 yards w various sizes would like ur feedback on that. And entry teams vs Civilian Groggy bump in the nights bit different needs IMO

I'd like to see you use that technique without the grip strap to take up that recoil.
Can't use a grip strap when you are backpacking. The situation probably won't give you time to find it and put your hand in it quick enough during the draw.

I could see that grip strap, saving your hand from getting chewed up, by that tang safety, when playing with 3" slugs.
