The Philly Specials from 93.3 WMMR in the 70's

Back in the 1970's 93.3 WMMR would give great support to up and coming artists. Many times they would broadcast live performances to help expose them to more fans. From these shows some "Philly Specials" as I call them would make their way into regular rotation on the radio station and quickly became exclusive Philly classics. People from the Greater Philadelphia area KNOW GOOD MUSIC and embraced these new artists and no doubt helped them to rise higher.

I put this together as a fan of WMMR and the music they exposed me to back then, "Hail Hail Rock & Roll". TK
