Spot on!!!!!
ОтветитьI love Ellie and Mac Patterns. I made these a couple of years ago, maybe 3 using a sewing machine before I had a serger. I will have to try them on the serger now. Thank you!
ОтветитьOff to try it! Thank you 🧦
ОтветитьGreat video. :D love Ellie and Mac patterns
ОтветитьCan’t thank you enough for this video. I have trouble finding socks that are not too tight around the top. Now I can have socks that I can adjust the fit!
ОтветитьBetween normal wear & tear and the washer/dryer, my family always needs socks; and not too-tight socks at that.....thank you for this Alisa🥰
ОтветитьIt's like you read my mind honestly😅❤
ОтветитьI love this. I have to make some!!!! This makes me so happy because I think socks are so poorly made these days!!! And just don’t last.
ОтветитьI have so many remnants from knit fabrics. (I love sewing knits!) This gives me a useful project to try! Thank you!
ОтветитьIt seems to me that I can sew this socks by hand as well 🤔 Some survival skill for zombie apocalypse 😊
ОтветитьI have seen a couple of friends with sewn socks and wondered; “how is this accomplished?” Now, with your tutoring, I can’t wait to try this! This will be my first attempt at a PDF pattern s well…..🙏
ОтветитьThere are many reasons I love this channel but frankly, this video takes the cake!! I have bee HATING the crap socks that are available for sale and dying to find a way to make them without having to knit. However, I am also autistic, so large seams do NOT agree with my brain. I actually threw out a pair last night because I knew I'd never wear them again thanks to the seams. Thank you so much for not intentionally reading my mind!!!! I can't wait to get sewing!
ОтветитьThank you for sharing your knowledge. Showcasing a serger project is awesome! I bought my serger earlier this year, but I haven’t been able to fire it up because I really don’t feel I’m ready to use it yet. If you had to label this project by an experience level, what would you rate it as? Beginner? Intermediate? Thank you in advance for your time and advice!
ОтветитьCan we use the technique of FLATLOCK on a SERGER?
ОтветитьWow this is fantastic, thank you so much for sharing, a great scrap buster, I am going to give this a try today
ОтветитьAlisa, I really like how you teach a serger technique and then use it in a simple project. The series glows quite well. It takes the intimidation away and fear if the unknown away.
ОтветитьAn incredibly helpful video. Thank-you for the clear and straightforward forward instructions ❤
ОтветитьI might just use maraflex thread, which stretches, on my sewing machine and as all the seams are hidden leave them raw or unfinished.
ОтветитьI've made quite a number of these socks, and have made, with stretch frilly lace instead of a bands; I have also used scrap/ offcuts of ribbing for bands.
ОтветитьHave you tried wooly nylon thread with the sock pattern? I was just curious if it makes any difference in the finished socks.
ОтветитьMany thanks for inspiration, will use this idea to sew long warm winter TV socks... What came on my mind immediatelly is that the flatlock serger seam setup may be more practical as it is less bulky at the end and may even be decorative.
ОтветитьThank you so much for this great tutorial, I love cotton socks with cool prints and colors but they are almost in extinction 😜 Now I can make my own thanks to you sweetie, God bless you, love from TN🤎
ОтветитьVery nice tutorial, thank you very much
ОтветитьLooking at the pattern, it’s unclear how to select the correct size. Does it go by inch measurement of the length of the foot, or by shoe size, or what? Thanks. 🌷
ОтветитьDoes the seams give either of you, or your daughter, any trouble with pain or blisters.. The seams across the toes of regular socks have blistered my little toes around the nails.
ОтветитьI think I need to watch this a bit more, but it would be so fun to make my own socks and have a fit that is comfortable for me. Amazing as always!
ОтветитьThanks!
