Great video and a really comprehensive introduction to the medical field.
But I did notice the disparage of alternative treatments (even though many are getting illegal money through these). I mean, some of the alternative therapies (placebos) work really well. In some ways, better than what can be given by evidence-based medicine. If a placebo effect is so good that most people can get better by getting it (i.e., when getting the treatment comparing to not getting, the effect is seen on more people), would it be counted as "an useful/effective treatment" even though it is not evidence based? Even though I will be going into medical field, I embrace some alternative treatments if they work for me.

I am working on it.. and i hope to resolve this internal struggle soon so that i can see clearly what i want and dont want. I dont hate the medical field itself, it is an important part of human life. But i cant get myself to see the wonderful and fascinating things inside it without feeling that resentment and hate. First do no harm, lol. Right out of the gate, this map fails how medicine is acutally implemented in The United States.

Quite outdated infographic when his so-called unproven treatments , many are proven already and there is such a thing as incorporating these into practice, which is called “integrative medicine”. Disappointing. That is why ‘healthcare’ is pretty much ‘sick care’ today with this outdated thinking and approach.

As a lay person I find this excellent as an overview. Perhaps a greater focus on the rare/ultra rare conditions ie over 7000 and growing would help to raise the profile of these conditions in the population. Their diagnosis, prevention and treatment are major growth areas. It's a whole map in itself. Thanks
