first of all you can acknowledge her as a person. You not african talking about the "girls" hair. Curl IT. Like be more personable. I would watch other styles you've done to compare how you speak on what your doing with them but I am discourage for whatever reason.

As a white mum of girls with ridiculously fine, silky hair that matts insanely I would be extremely grateful for more tutorials for braids on this hair texture! My girls want their hair long but it’s so fine and silky it just hangs there and we struggle to do anything with it. Even a ponytail doesn’t hold for long as the ties fall out. Barrettes and clips are impossible and the only product we have found that helps at all is a super stiff hair wax. It’s really hard for these girls to look tidy and put together when their hair refuses to cooperate. Lmao. We have one hair studio in town that does textured hair but they won’t even consider braiding our kids’s hair and none of the other stylists have been able to cope with their hair so it’s all on me. Any help would be massively appreciated!

I remember when i was a kid in foster care being so excited when my foster mom would do my hair in cool braids like my foster sisters. I felt like a princess. I'm sure you taking the time to do braids in her hair is making her feel the same way. EDIT: stupid spelling mistake.

Oh my goodness, this is so cute. I'm going to try this hairstyle on my daughter and niece!!! Thank you so much for your tips about different textures. I mainly braid my daughter's hair, which is a mixture of 3A & 3B curls, but my niece always asks me to braid her hair when she sees me and her texture is a mix of 1A & 1B. 🙃. So needless to say I'm trying to learn how to braid straight hair better and what products I should use in comparison to curly hair.
