I have a 5mm silver flat curb chain which I've had now for over 2 years and never have I ever had to clean it or polish it... it still shines like I bought it yesterday.. I shower with it, go to the beach with it, sleep with it, and go to the gym with it.. I wear it every day until I bought my first 2mm diamond cut yellow gold rope chain.. I wear the silver more because its cheaper and wouldn't want to get robbed for my gold 1

The reason to use silver is because the silver looks good with shadows. I actually dislike shiny polished silver. Maybe just the accents being polished is probably my fav.

I love silver it goes amazing with white shirts and black shirts. It Def outshines gold. Now I got gold chains n silver chains and I got one big platinum figaro I inherited from my grandfather it's a beast. My biggest silver chain is 17mm 24" figaro iv had it since 2010/2009 n it's in perfect shape I take good care of em all. My smallest silver chain is 10mm wide I wear it time to time but not alot I mainly rock my 11mm figaro n 13mm figaro or my 12mm and 15mm curbs I got em basically in all widths n sizes from 18" to 24" now my gold chains are all mainly 10k and run from 5.5mm figaro to my 15mm 10k 22" or 23" it's a odd ball length. But yeah I got em in all sizes and alot of $$$ into em

Silver is worth buying all you got to do to keep it from tarnishing routinely clean it with baking soda and water made into a paste you can either brush it in with an old toothbrush Wipe it in with a paper towel do that until you got a good crust from the paste let it air-dry rinse it off with water then wipe it dry with a paper towel do that routine with your silver say at least every two weeks to once a month it will never tarnish it will last you a lifetime to silver is worth buying as long as you keep it clean the paste works great with gold and stainless steel jewelry to yeah Silver's worth buying

Silver can be refurbished with boiling water, baking soda, & foil anyone who owns silver knows it will tarnish but you can easily refurbish it at home

In my experience silver tarnishing is mitigated by wearing the piece alot. Your body oils/clothes do the polishing.

Do sterling silver brother water and baking soda paste routine clean you will make a lot more money and you can use this paste on your gold and diamonds to and stainless steel just don't use on a herringbone piece of jewelry because the paste will harden up I have found the cheap way might be a little effort but it's cheap 4 sterling silver to never tarnish when bought new or if not severely tarnished to Grey used and a little aged baking soda and water made into a paste just don't put on herringbone jewelry because of the herringbones likeliness to kink up because the paste will harden up

When do you know is time to change a necklace how damaged or scratched should be to say is time to change it ... I'm very picky and even a tiny hair scratch from normal wear makes me want to throw it away ... I have 3 Cuban links chains and 5 Cuban link bracelets I wear two of the chains only for few hours daily , but I try not to rob it intentionally just what it does normally from natural movement when wearing them

In 2003 I got a silver chain from the mall, 925 and it cost me $130 It was like 11mm 26in chain. I went by the same place today asked for the price of a similar chain similar weight similar width, length. $980 , The price might go up slow but it does continue to go up

Silver is literally so easy to clean every once in a while I’ll throw my necklace and bracelet into a bowl of boiling water and baking soda and it turns it bright white again almost instantly but it typically takes months and months or something like baiting in sulfur rich water (when the water filter is over due lol) for them to tarnish anyways. One of my favorite metals.

I just had an old piece that hasn’t been worn in 13 years it sat in a drawer when I took it out it was black I dropped it in some silver cleaner then gave it a quick polish it looks brand new again!

I've had all of my silver chains for more than 5 years and none of them have tarnished obviously. I have taken care of them throw them in some solution 30 seconds clean them with a rag like new every time

Your video is out dated. It is now 2024 and silver jewelry is outrageously expensive!!!! Stainless steel is the new silver. You can wear it in the shower,pool,beach, perfume,shampoo,never take it off and it will look like the day you bought it.And if you buy a $50 necklace,its worth $50! If you buy a $50 silver chain and need to sell it you will be lucky to get $10 for it! That is the disgustingly greedy mark up that a jeweler gets you for! Don't put your money in their pockets. Buy yourself a stainless chain and put it to the test, you won't be sorry.

Making a paste out of baking soda, or using ketchup or toothpaste and just rubbing the piece will get that tarnish gone. I personally love the patina though, aged silver looks great
