I’d be bit nervous about buying any guitar when there’s no truss rod adjustment, not interested in taking the neck off anything at that price, maybe its just me but that’s a problem waiting to happen 🤷🏻‍♂️

cost twice as much as the flagship fender !!!! only an idiot would but this ... and all those fender wannabes like suhr, silver sky, ....

These guitars are so cool!! I do think that it's funny a brand called "Xotic" would make mostly Strat and Tele style guitars

owned more than one and played a ton more. genuinely great guitars but they dont sound that much like Fender guitars to me if you side-by-side them. in fact, of all the brands making guitars with the proper details, they are some of the least Fender sounding ones to my ears. never played one that wasnt distinctly brighter than your typical Fender offering. I think most people who can afford these kinds of guitars would be disappointed with Xotic if their expectation was a Fender stratocaster or telecaster, but if they liked the Xotic, of course they'd be happy. sounding like Fender isnt even necessarily good, it's a matter of taste and if that's what you want there are many brand whose sound is closer to an old Fender (including Fender CS). buy an Xotic because you like Xotic. otherwise you're going to find yourself taking a bit of a beating on the secondhand market because you bought a guitar that while great on its own merits didnt meet your expectations. if one MUST sound like an old Fender, go find an SVL.

They look like fender but definitely don’t sound like fender , they are too bright.

Love my Xotic California Xsc-2. The necks really are something else & they have all the vintage vibes, but with all the modern playability. Usually I don’t like new guitars.. but when I played one.. it was like i’de been playing it for years.

I have an XSC 1 in sea foam green and it's by far the best strat i've ever played, better than CS fenders i've played and owned, absolutely love Xotic

Just another Fender copy "boutique" guitar? Sure, I haven't played one, but nothing about any of these impresses me really. They sound rather "brittle"to me. There are so many Fender Strat copies out there these days its become nigh impossible to choose. And most of them are seriously overpriced too. Reckon its each to his own then.

Not sure how a company copying another, still existing company’s designs could be considered an “heir”. Fender’s not dead. And if it was, the lineage would suggest G&L as king, since that was where he felt his own designs needed to evolve to.

I have to agree Xotic is sure knocking it out of the park So many great choices these days but nothing is going to knock me off my 65 L series transition small headstock model Back plate stated was a 64 but after later inspection the neck heel stamp verified it was a 65 Totally looks like a 64 but has the parchment pick gaurd instead of the mint green of early 60's

I had an Xotic and had to sell it when times were a bit tough. So regret it.

Great sounding strat. But pricing is abit crazy, especially considering how much you will lose if one day End up putting up for sale. Would definitely choose a Fender CS over this as they are sort of similar price range now

You should get some upside down ones in for people who want stand in front of the mirror and pretend they're Hendrix..... well you have to justify getting some lefties somehow

It's just a clickbaity title, folks. Of course they're not heir to Fender's tone. They're just a different take on the same subject. I own an XSC-2 and a CS Strat, and they're completely different guitars. Both phenomenal, though!

Owned loads of CS guitars, fell in love with an XSC-1 with a master grade neck…it’s been my number 1 since the day I unboxed it. I’d heard how good the necks were and thought “they can’t be that much different” but it’s just such a perfect fit for my hand and feels great. If you’re thinking about getting one of these don’t hesitate, best Guitars I’ve ever played

Trust me xotic guitar neck feels far superior than any other guitar brands Ive ever played especially love the smooth finish on the neck

Have an Xotic HSS strat and it’s phenomenal… I also own G&L, a couple of Suhrs and Original batch SRV. Their single coil pickups are insanely good and fat and clear, and the guitars themselves are super resonant. Would put this up against any strat ever produced.

Arghhh! These look and sound sooo good.! However how do they compare to similar brands (thinking Suhr in particular here) doing similar designs?

Xotic makes great guitars. I love my XSC-2, with 9.5” radius and smaller frets (not a fan of their more typical 12” radius/jumbo fret spec), but also love my CS strats and my Silver Sky (I know SS is not as high end but it’s really good!).Since each guitars is made from unique pieces of wood each one is a bit different, so it’s hard to say x brand is better than y brand since they vary a lot. I’ve played some Fender CS strats that are truly amazing and others that are just great, and that goes for all brands. I would put Grosh in this category as well.
