Now the REAL story begins.

Also you have to love Rex now that he's grown as a character. It feels kind of like it should be longer before that happens but I chalk that up to the difference between how quickly animation/live action can relay scenes vs reading them. Something that takes multiple pages or even a whole printed issue can be shown on screen in seconds or minutes.

And yes Oliver does remember Nolan. Thraxans age so fast that their brains develop ridiculously quickly due to how short their lifespan is. Oliver remembers EVERYTHING from pretty much the moment he was born. And while he's only 6 months to a year old at this point, pretty much half his life was spent with Nolan and his mother. Time when Nolan was actually a loving and caring father after learning from his mistakes not really being that during Mark's infancy.

But yeah Mark's anger is completely justified here. But his constant problem from the beginning is that he always looks at everything in Black & White, and doesn't ever accept that the world functions in shades of gray. Also keep in mind, Mark didn't go 0 to 100. He was holding back the whole time. And the only reason he cut lose is because he know that taking out a couple of clones isn't actually "deadly" to Multi-Paul the same way Kate doesn't "die" so long as there's at least 1 left. And it was blatantly clear that Paul was going to kill Rex.

And he also remembers that the only reason they were able so save Rick was because of how soon they encountered him before Sinclair fully lobotomized him. And they were only able to get through to him because William was there. By all rights it shouldn't have worked and shouldn't have happened. Because if/when they do come back to understand what happened to them, they just want to die (like the one that killed itself in Season 1 and even Rick was suicidal after the fact).

Also Darkwing II was killing criminals. But the problem is that he was killing anyone he considered a criminal regardless of the severity of the crime. In the comics he actually killed innocent people if they got in his way taking out criminals. I don't think that part was included in the show. But yeah he was actually a full on psycho who killed both because he thought it was the best way to deal with criminals but because he actually liked killing.

Yes I'd also thought Sinclair was in prison and he was working off his time creating an army of Reanimen to fight the Viltrumites. Given what happened to Rick and William I can see Mark being rightly pissed but if his dad was reformed he'd want the Earth to give him a second chance. I can see releasing and Using Darkwing 2 in a dire emergency but then send him back to prison.
