Kenya's Ruto Appoints New Deputy President After Gachagua's Impeachment

Anyone celebrating the unconstitutional and brutal removal and replacement of the DP should understand that this is not a matter personal to the Rigathi Gachagua.

It is the constitution of Kenya under attack.

It is about the elevation of Ruto above the constitution.

It is yet another step in the making of a dictator.

It is the making of another Moi or Idi Amin.

I hope the courts will arise and stop this madness.

I hope Kenyans will arise and say no.

nominated senators have no right to vote out elected leaders let them be master's mistresses that should be their boundaries....very sad dp was impeached by nominated women

it's a batshit of dramas & impending constitutional crisis as we have 2 deputy presidents, one elected by people but ailing in hospital & the other hand-picked by president but blocked by the court from taking over. One can imagine what will happen if the president dies amidst all this

Does it mean that Wetangular,Kindiki,Otiende,Orengo etc the so called senior learned friends could not interpret the law b4 High court's intervention. Soberness is lost - time for an overhaul

The only deputy president in kenya is Rigathe Gachagwa untill the court orders others Kenya is not ruto's company

There's no other country in Africa where people live on the edge of high political drama like happens in Kenya. Every day in Kenya, you wake up to extremes of political brinkmanship. The key players, largely the same individuals, change alliances and parties like disco lights. Bitter political rivals become intimate bedfellows overnight. To do this, they love to wear & use their tribal identities without shame. Meanwhile, Ruto has taken the politics of Kenya a notch higher. Outside his own tribe, he plays the other tribal oligarchs against each other with unmatched skill. For example, stripping Riggy G naked to dress Kindiki using the same robe is essentially setting up the Kikuyu tribe against itself.

A 4th world country, worse than despair itself.

So why was he impeached? Terrible reporting

This country is gone to the Dogs. Democracy died when we swore in the Dictator.
