Dr. Aruna Dontabhaktuni - Founder and Scientific Director of @projectdontabhaktuni7798 , was been invited to present at Tufts University on "Drug Development and Regulatory Submissions – Current status & Emerging trends".
Dr. Aruna Dontabhaktuni has 27 years of extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry. She is the Founder and CEO of PharmaPro Consulting. Her company specializes in Clinical Pharmacology, Regulatory Affairs, and PKPD data analysis & Modeling, supporting clients like
Genentech, Roche, Daiichi Sankyo, Novartis, Moderna and
many more.
Dr. Dontabhaktuni is also the Founder and Scientific Director of “Project Dontabhaktuni”, a nonprofit created to offer low-cost workshops in clinical pharmacology and pharmacometrics. In the last 3 years they have had 2000 PhD/PharmD scientists from 40 countries.
Dr. Dontabhaktuni is an Adjunct Professor, at University of the Pacific Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy, California, where she teaches clinical pharmacology and regulatory sciences.
Dr. Dontabhaktuni’s education includes a Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences from Long Island University, Arnold & Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy, New York City, USA and bachelors’ in Pharmacy from
Karnataka Pharmacy Collage, Gulbarga University, India.
Dr. Dontabhaktuni is the Chair of the International Society of Pharmacometrics (ISoP) local group, Chair for the American Society of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics (ASCPT) Biologics Community.
Reviewer for British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics Journal.
Her awards and recognitions include “Appreciation Certificate” from American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists, “Above and Beyond Award” from AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals, two “Spotlight Recognition Award” from Eli Lilly and Company, two “Extraordinary Effort Award” from
ImClone Systems. “The Pharma Ratna Award” for her extraordinary work in Pharmaceutical sciences by Rab Di Meher an NGO based in India. “The Stem Forward Award” at 2021 MIDD+ conference by Simulations Plus, for her contribution to Project Dontabhaktuni.
Dr. Dontabhaktuni is recognized as a thought leader in Clinical Pharmacology, Regulatory Affairs, and has given plenary/keynote speeches at numerous national and international conferences. She has
published more than 45 manuscripts and abstracts. Her current research interests include expedited FDA approvals, pediatric clinical pharmacology, and the use of mathematical modeling tools in saving
time and money in drug development. She is also extremely passionate about making a difference and increasing the presence of women in science and women in leadership roles.
Aruna is a fitness buff, loves to cook and entertain, and enjoys taking adventurous vacations. She has visited 30 countries. Just in 2019 she visited 7 countries, 60 cities, and 183 places.
