why does the trailer say one woman defied a nation when it was her husband that took the matter to court and did all in his power to ensure she got justice. Is it because she had to balls to accuse him? well her attacker was a rich man without her husband her accusations would just have been accusations. it was her husband that defied a nation

The entire film is 2 men fighting to the death over a woman? If I wanted to watch that, I’d just throw in Twilight. This looks very high budget and low budget at the same time. Ridley Scott is capable of so much better than this.

The story here looks interesting but all the framing is really weird. Like why are they saying she "Defied a nation" when it was the husband who is fighting the duel? From my understanding of the story she was fairly passive in all this and it was her husband's continued insistence that resulted in the duel. Also, while the actors are good, the choices are still odd. Both duelists were in their mid 50s when this took place and the character Driver is playing was described as "Large and physically imposing" which is not how I'd characterize Driver.

If this is his final film it’s fitting, Ridley Scott‘s first film was “The Duellists” in 1977. So “The Last Duel” would be a nice bookend to his film career.

I live in Cahir which is where they were filming and I saw Matt Damon, Adam Driver, Jodie Comer, Ben Affleck and Ridley Scott all walk out of the castle

King, Knight, Squire and a Lady where all ends up in betrayal between them all for greed who demand a last duel to death. And who could say no to a bloody battle in the century 1300 ... I for sure couldnt. Great movie. 😄👍

Good film however trying to do the British accents some of them turned it to a comedy sketch affleck ,damon and some more m. Annoying at times as they are highly paid actors. Should've hired British main actors for this not afflec and damon, absolutely horrendous. They need to learn from Edward Norton he's and American and the role of Baldwin 4 he played and his accent, his acting mesmerised me, they should go lick his feet and ask for an advice and some lessons
