"Victory without risk is a triumph without glory"
damm
It’s rather amusing to hear about the marvellous Ford GT40 with no mention of the Lola input, it’s as if it was entirely a Detroit product.
Ответитьnot quite true about the "ford & ferrari" deal. Enzo never ever intended to sell to ford. the ford deal was there just to get a better price from fiat. like bugger he was selling to anyone that was not italian! it was not the humiliation of a collapsed deal but the realisation that ford was just a pawn that spurred him on to get some sweet revenge with a le mans win and ensuring fiat got some substandard steel for production in the late 60s.
Ответить2018 le man's anyone here ? 😜
Ответить.., and now..., 9 times legend Tom Kristensen👍🇩🇰
ОтветитьTo experience Le Mans in person is a dream I must make true.
Ответитьblimey that's fast seeing the road markings disappear under the car at the end.
ОтветитьThere´s no other race like it. Not on asphalt. And in comparison it makes the F1 seem like a quickie on a public toilet.
ОтветитьIt's a great race, but, these days, none of the top F1 drivers enter. Not like in the 50's and 60's when all the greats were in it.
ОтветитьI thought rendezvous wasnt filmed in a ferrari but a car with a hydrosuspension like a peugot or renault but with a ferrari exhaust dubbed over
ОтветитьLe Mans with only Toyota brings lmp1 is a shame, it’s too lonely
ОтветитьWithout any doubt that was the most interesting documentary film I've ever seen.
ОтветитьGreat Document. Anyone here going to see the new movie on the '66 Le mans
ОтветитьHenry ford2 offered 16 mn dollars to buy Ferrari not 15
ОтветитьGood documentary, but very little talk of the races in the 1990's and early 2000's.
ОтветитьThank you for uploading, le mans is unique - greatest race ever was 69, Jacky Icks startet as a protest as last driver in the field and finished 2 seconds is a 24 hours race for Hans Hermann
ОтветитьThe last 30 seconds of this vid is astounding.
ОтветитьMakes modern day electric F1 'racing' about as exciting as seeing (not hearing!) a bunch of Prius's lollygag around a parking lot.
ОтветитьFord wouldn't have been able to win without Carroll Shelby, who's name is missing from this video. It was Shelby's car (Cobra Daytona Coupe) that first knocked Ferrari out of his winning streak, not Ford. Otherwise a very information documentary.
ОтветитьStucchevole la continua pubblicità a Bolex (che, tra l'altro, oltre che volgari, manco sono precisi)
ОтветитьThe first 30 seconds were great: no background music. Then it began, covering what is being said. Why so loud for F*** sake?. When will producers make up their minds: video clip or documentary?
Ответить"4 corners of the globe" :DD
ОтветитьPretty sure 66 lemans was stolen from Ken miles rather than this Danny huelm character he speaks of
ОтветитьThe old ferraris are beautiful.
ОтветитьL””0
Ответить0 mentions of Ken Miles… what a shame
ОтветитьNowadays at Le Mans, cars lookalike, it's hard to know teams, it's like watching NASCAR race, no offence.
ОтветитьWonderful video and a lovely trip down memory lane. I lived in South Africa and remember the Ferrari/Ford battle so well as if yesterday!
ОтветитьThey really didn’t mention Ken miles in fords first victory 😭
ОтветитьI still believe the dangerous, often deadly cars from the 60s and 60s were the most beautiful. The one car I would love to own is the 1962 Ferrari Dino 246SP. I don't
know why but that car makes me weak in the knees...
the best, ingruelling, passionate and greatest experience in motorsport history....LE MANS
Ответитьshould be lights down the Maasuanne
Ответитьto finish first, first you have to finish.....
never so true about this race
246 mph!? 🤯
ОтветитьThat's cool, dude wins Le Mans in a car he built himself! Yeah! ✊
ОтветитьAmazing video, Thank you
ОтветитьOnce they put turns on the molsaan straight it just became another race to me ...
ОтветитьEine Leidenschaft für's Leben
ОтветитьGod the bastard was insufferable !
I'm supprised the bastard had anyone behind him.
Jackie won it by only a hundred meters!!!
ОтветитьLe Mans, "The Day" tHat alSo meaSures 24 HoUrs from stArt to stOp.
ОтветитьAll I can say is Gran Turismo 5.
ОтветитьTo me some things cannot be run forever. If done so it just morphes into a public distraction with a purely commercial background. Driving the crowds rather than preserving the heritage. Soul cannot be implemented, it grows out of authenticity. Tempi Passati how they call it. But what a fantastic span of time to feast on. Thankyou.
ОтветитьNo mention of Ken Miles in '66? Lame.
ОтветитьThe modern computer controlled cars do not compare to the cars of the 60s. GT40, Porsche 917, Lola T70, Ferrari 330 P4, just to name a few. The REAL badass cars of Le Mans.
