The Community Food Initiative Programme is a three year programme, funded by safefood (www.safefood.eu), and managed by Healthy Food for All (www.healthyfoodforall.com). The Programme funds ten Community Food Initiatives (CFIs) across the island of Ireland. The vision of the CFI Programme is to foster positive changes in the health and nutrition of families and young people in a community setting. CFIs are projects that tackle food poverty by improving the availability, affordability and accessibility of healthy food for low income groups at local level using a community development approach.
