Emily may not be great in this season, but she's definitely way better than season 1 Emily, and there are a lot of moments she's either been good, or has had good justification.

Michelle though...I think people are perceiving her as good because she's against Emily, but I think she's been pretty bad too. She is SO insistent that her DANCERS are WAY better than any of hers. That isn't an insult to Emily, that's an insult to the dancers, and this kind of thinking has been pretty consistent.

At least Emily wasn't willing to make accommodations for Michelle's team being unprepared, she did everything to make sure her team goes to regionals, but Michelle gives Emily a chance purely because she wants to beat Emily when she could've just guaranteed her dancers were the ones who went?

I feel like the main reason East won was because contemporary as a style is kinda like a jack of all trades master of none. What I mean by this is let's take Emily and Michelle's favorite words, technique and style. If I were to graph contemporary, ballet, and hip hop from left to right left being more and left being less, ballet would be far left in terms of technique, hip hop would be far right, and contemporary would be in the middle a little closer to ballet. If I were to graph the 3 on style, I would lay them out the opposite way, with contemporary in the middle and a little closer to hip hop. In other words, contemporary is a very safe style to dance because more often than not, judges wouldn't mind a middle of the road style than one at the bottom in a certain aspect. If you want opposite extremes, go for either ballet or hip hop. This is why the judges are always impressed when a routine incorporates both hip hop and ballet because they soften each other's weaknesses and bring out each other's strengths

i’m so confused why riley wanted emily’s team to win from the start, like yes we know it’s your sister but weren’t you the one who tried to overthrow her as dance captain because she didn’t incorporate other dance styles and that it exactly what she is doing now, riley really confuses me. Also like someone in the comments said emily’s dance is giving lucien and elite and the next step won to them with more of a hiphop and less contemporary style so shouldn’t team west have won?

Personally i did like TNS west routine better but i understood why East won!

i bet emily wishes she hadnt given michele grief caue now she the one with less than 10 dancers. with emily keeps loosing dancers. she really should of had alternates on the team. fortunitly emily gave mitchielle the check cuase she wanted to win fair and square. with that mitchielle is giving emily the 5 chalenge to win fair and squre as well.

why are they dance battling over who gets to go to regionals when that is what qualifiers are for? even if a team wins, there is no guarantee that they'd win a qualifier to even be able to go to regionals. they should just let each team compete in different qualifiers and see which team wins. if only one team wins a qualifier and makes it to regionals then there's the answer. if both teams win a qualifier THEN they could decide which team goes based on who had the highest score at their qualifier and who had the better dance. much more simple and neither team would have to waste time doing dance battles when they could be rehearsing and training for qualifiers and regionals.

TNS east choreo was better imo. But tns west choreo just screams 'the next step', it felt more like home. TNs.e gave the same vibes as elite and lucien

I get that tns east is happy that they won but they kind of rubbed it in tns wests faces. I mean you could at least nod and maybe smile but then go back to your own studio and celebrate instead of screaming and celebrating in the other teams faces and giving them dirty looks like Emily snapped and screamed then gave a really dirty look to Michelle and that’s not necessary.
