I got one yesterday. Traded in 2020 Dodge Ram because I lost a need for compensating my ego and needed something better on gas. The GT was the only Forte with a manual transmission, and it is quick as hell. Now I have to be careful to not get a speeding ticket.

The launch mode is cool and all but if that’s got the cvt there’s a faster way of launching it. My 2019 with the 2L without a turbo and 140hp can launch faster. You put it in sport mode in automatic mode that way when you go back in it’s in sport mode and then put it into manual shifting mode and into first gear with tc off. Take off and when you get to the top of first take it out of manual mode, as the rpm starts to drop let off the throttle a little bit and put it back in. It lowers the marketed 0-60 from around 8 seconds to about 5.5-6

Keep it out of manual shift mode and let it redline and it will accelerate faster.

My 2021 Kia forte GT limited, is the exact same interior as the new 2023, 2024's the only difference is the colorwheel for ambient lighting and the logo. literally copy paste the rest

2017 Kia forte here bought her new now has 73k miles runs like new 2.0 engine 6spd transmission wit manual mode if wanted great car extremely reliable.

What people don’t understand about this car is that the engine is soooo good. It’s so good that you can definitely add mods and upgrades to have it go from 201WHP
To 350WHP. Not impressed? Not only will it be pretty damn fast, it’s a light car. Meaning it doesn’t weigh that much. Having it tuned you could definitely argue this can go from 0-60 REALLY quick. Downside is… your top speed will be beaten. But still very very very good car.
