my university was bomved down and they moved the university from downtown to lindenhof

My great grandfather and some of his sons were conscripted into Volkssturm and Hitlerjugend troops to defend Mannheim, once the attack begun everyone was deserting to save their lifes. My grandpa who was 6 at the time was talking about those bomber raids till the end of his life.

I know for certain that the fear of these Brits was running out their buds..therefore the flew only at Night...
They also knew this area was heavy guarded by Flak
