I beg to differ on soy. "Soy boys" are a thing.
ОтветитьProtein powder is processed food. Eat meat and eggs.
ОтветитьI recognise the authenticity of this channel, however i have found creatine completely blunts my sexual performance (ED) . I am trying to understand why and believe it's to do with the kidney functionality. Im not suggesting creatine is bad but if can happen to me it can happen.
ОтветитьI'm surprised Tudca isn't on this list. I've yet to see a negative of taking it.
ОтветитьTMG has been found to increase cholesterol…please comment on this…mahalo
ОтветитьIt’s just commercial advertising
ОтветитьThe way you recommended for those inflamatory supplements like protein powder, i can tell i have trust issue on you
ОтветитьMy one concern with hyaluronic acid is that high levels in the skin have a strong association with cancer, what do you make of this association?
ОтветитьHyaluronic acid is not recommended for diabetics because of the potential harm to the pancreas
Ответитьhigh protein diet damage kidneys over time
ОтветитьFatty15 has been shown to be superior to Omega 3 supplements which are smelly.
ОтветитьWith all due respect, your comments on melatonin reveal a lack of research. Huberman's cautions against high dosage appeared to be a conflict of interest and contradict the guru of melatonin Dr Russell Reiter who advocates high dosage and has studied melatonin for over 30 years, and has been taking over 100 mgs a day during same time frame. There's no feed back loop and pineal gland only produces 5% while 95% is produced in our cells so there are other important reasons to take more than 5 mgs a day. Come on Dr Stanfield, this was a glaring mistake.
ОтветитьTake most of these, have tried all. Will add back in hyaluronic acid and TMG. Thanks!
Curious Why citrulline did not make the cut? Pretty substantial evidence of benefit IMHO, and personally, causes massive subjective increase in exercise motivation for me (and endurance as far as output)
Are you seriously recommending protein powders???? that might be fine for 20 year olds but after a certain age the allergic reactions are a real thing, no matter who you are.. damn I hope none takes your advise at face value
ОтветитьWhy are your eyes red and watery?
ОтветитьHurts my stomach
ОтветитьAnother great video, thoughts on creatine and cancer studies.
ОтветитьCreatine raises blood pressure
Ответить2 months ago i started taking 5mg of creatine a day. Within a month I had gained 6lbs (which is fine its water in the muscles) but every time i would comb my hair, my hair was falling out. I quit taking it a couple weeks ago and im not losing my hair anymore. Makes me wonder how much credibility these studies deserve
ОтветитьIt unfortunately also sets off neuralgia in my trigeminal nerve, as do other substances containing arginine. Possibly due to stimulation of varicella sine zoster. Happens every time I've tried taking it for more than about a week, even though I take daily lysine to block the virus using the arginine.
ОтветитьI'm giving the side-eye 👀 at melatonin... I thought consuming it over a long duration of time was linked to alzheimers?
ОтветитьWhat about CoQ10?
ОтветитьHello, recently I have seen several videos of some doctors who recommend some stuff to use but honestly, despite I respect them for their knowledge, I'm not too impressed, but today looking more info about AKG I found you and you are very well documented professional, great information, thanks. I do have a couple of question if you don't mind, I'm 52 years old, diabetic (type I) which love exercise, working out 4 x /week and some days I ride my bicycle for one hour. I'm in good shape but besides insulin I use Atorvastatin 40 Mg, can I use all those products you recommend as a normal person, also, any safe possible to use something natural to stop the Atorvastatin? Thanks!
ОтветитьThe recommended protein intake is massive and so difficult to achieve, especially for the elderly. That's why I buy protein powder for my mum.
Ответить"It's important to remember we are not mice" dude quoted Sun Tzu right there
ОтветитьWhat is your take on Urolithin A?
ОтветитьWITH ALL DO RESPECT... Some very famous Human Geneticists have frankly stated that they do not rely on any supplements at all... they just rely on excellent natural dietary nutrition and a healthy life style.... This kindly sincere Doctor here is another one of those load up on chemical supplement machines... Franken-supplement overdose video here... no thanks... My Italo-American Dad made it to 93 without any daily supplementation and a Mediterranean Diet..
ОтветитьNice work bro. Although multivitamins can do harm if they are not from pure natural sources, so we should look for natural complex vitamin supplements
ОтветитьFish oil seems to have a lot of health issues now!!! 😂😂😂
ОтветитьAs a doctor you should also inform that TMG for example increases total cholestrol. Both LDL and the good one.
Ответить1 to 2 omega 3 for heart; what’s the dose in the capsules? Are they all the same? Mine are 1,000 mg ea
ОтветитьPleaae review SILICA. Worth it for bone density and skin health??
ОтветитьWhere’s Zinc?
ОтветитьIs there a product that will provide all that in one pill?
ОтветитьYou lost a follower when u said good About soy
ОтветитьCould you add chapters throughout your videos to make referencing individual supplements easier?
ОтветитьRe protein would you aim for 1.6g per Kg of overall bodyweight or lean bodyweight?
ОтветитьThank you for your excellent work! You ARE appreciated!
ОтветитьI tend to take food gurus with a pinch of salt (not literally). The great thing about Brad is that he reads the research and references it, and his reasoning is generally sound. There are, however, some caveats, for example human health is complex, but our research methodologies are derived from an understanding of nature as a linear system (modelled on physics), which is to say 'linear' in terms of cause and effect, with functional mathematical modelling and a macro-granular approach guiding statistics. We should also bear in mind that what is correct today according to the science may be incorrect tomorrow according to science, as research advances. There are also inherent difficulties with research models based on animal studies (not close enough to human) and epidemiological studies based on on self-reporting and poor controls (notoriously unreliable). There are also questions over the selectivity of journal publishing, where several biases have been identified. Further problems are associated with large institutions such as national health bodies for example: they tend to be conservative in their recommendations because they are concerned with risk reduction (and perhaps reputations), and an associated problem is the time lag, when it comes to changing recommendations when it is related to the same conservatism. We could also add sources of funding... It's not a rosy picture, but Brad nimbly vaults aver may of the traps and genuinely explains what rational choices we have. As a matter of interest, one question I would like Brad to comment on is the rediscovered Minnesota study on fat consumption, which reported high death rates in the over-65s who 'over-reduced' their cholesterol intake. Given that Brad recommends talking cholesterol-lowering drugs (in line with NICE recommendations), does that still apply to the over-65s? Apologies, if he has already answered this elsewhere, and I understand that as a practicing doctor, he may not be able to deviate substantially from UK institutional standards without sanction. This is caveat that applies one way or another to any communicator.
ОтветитьKing!!
Ответитьhow about b1
Ответитьhow about magnesium?
ОтветитьBe careful with whey and cassein protein powders, they contain a lot of calcium, not only the concentrate but even the whey isolates. It's not recommended to take more than 1-2 scoops whey protein a day and you risk calcifying your arteries and getting high blood preassure, erectile dysfunction and heart attack. So if you want to take a lot of protein powder, choose the pea protein for heart health. Creatin however, is good for the heart.
ОтветитьI don't want to be negative, but from what I know about biochemistry, creatine does not have a transporter from the stomach to the blood and that is why all creatine taken is transformed and eliminated by the kidney. If you can clear up my doubts, it would be of great help. Hace a nice day
Ответитьcan you do a video about NAD+ self injections ? 50mg-100mg ?
