We use the all these ornaments a lot in the arabic music, it takes a lot of time to master them and embed them in the melody to sound like a natural ornament

Hello, is "cut" an Irish ornament ?

I think the cut is what Lauren here describes as the flick. I was told to use the 3rd finger always on a cut unless that’s the note being cut in which case you’d use the 4th. But in practice I tend to use whatever finger is handy - may not be the best habit. Lauren, thoughts on which finger to use for the flick?
