Can I ask please where you went to in Wales. Were in Wales and have just picked up our adria matrix supreme 670 sl and that lake at the end looks perfect for kayaking. Thanks
ОтветитьHow can you call this, wild camping, in a mobile home. Get a tent and get out there.
ОтветитьWild Camping has a very loose definition - I would never consider staying in a car park as such - just overnighting without electric. Well done on clearing the rubbish, not everyone would have done that.
ОтветитьI hope you got the number plate reg of those scumbags..send it to the police they will prosecute ..these chavs need a bloody good birching.!!!
ОтветитьJeez - how close di that blue car park at 6m 0s ... good job you could exit the nearside cab doors
ОтветитьThanks for sharing, there are some good tips here. How do you feel about leaving your Motorhome while you go off hiking or biking for the day?
ОтветитьA gas kettle ... 🤔
ОтветитьFree parking should be you're title.
I have to say I don't like videos like this..........why.........it encourages those with less initiative to join the free parking brigade when you can clearly afford to support the local economy and use a registered site.
Ok what's my point......... what you are clearly ignoring is what happens when you advertise and encourage free parking, the hoards of other sheep that follow you create a take over in car parks, within no time at all the council will either put restrictions on the parking or worst still put height barriers up.........it's then ruined for you and anyone else with a bit of initiative. I've experienced this in some of our national parks recently and try touring west coast of Ireland where so many height barriers have been put across car parks........you can't even get a motorhome in to park for lunch.
Think carefully about what you post, for every action there is a re-action.
Finally I should say I'm a motorhome owner myself, and retired, so this isn't written with any envy.
Me and the wife have arrived at spots to then think this spot is not for us and moved on
ОтветитьWild campervaning not wild camping ⛺️
Ответитьhope you got the boy racers number plates and reported to the police or council !
ОтветитьBoring tip for wild camping, watch your alcohol intake, you always want to be in a position to bug out if your spot turns out not to be the quiet safe place you hoped it would be.
I also give my van a good once over before setting off in the morning, just make sure it’s not be tampered with in some way. Oh and make sure your fuel cap is locked. They are easy to smash but it may put them off.
As a wild camper I always have extra equipment with me to deal with these situations baseball bat asp etc never had to use them but it gives us a bit of extra security
ОтветитьBoy racers, Total W@@@@@s !!!
Ответитьa few good points there about conserving electric they are as you say only use what you need use solar panels use the LED lights in your van they use less power and if your not watching the tv at anytime switch it off morning after go for a drive around this will help recharge some of the used power in the leisure battery as long as you are on a split charge system might be a good idea to carry a spare ready charged 12 v battery too that you can swap over if your van only has 1 liesure battery fitment
ОтветитьA beautiful location quite local to me, but unfortunately it’s only 5 minutes drive from one of the most deprived areas in Wales so unfortunately you get quite a lot of this in that particular spot. Don’t let that put you off Wales we’re not all like this. Stay safe guys and enjoy
ОтветитьGreat video, is it in Bala, north wales???? Looks beautiful
Ответитьits best to try and carry a spare charged liesure battery if off grid
ОтветитьHow the heck did I land on this channel? Its ok, I watched the whole video ha ha.
ОтветитьThat's van camping, not wild camping. Wild camping is high in a single light weight tent. It's just parking, in a car park rather than on a pitch on a site
ОтветитьHi I enjoy wild camping just to get away from it all I was taught to leave no trace you have been there, only camp above the fence line in wild areas and only stay in the same place for one to two nights, take everything back with you, you took with you. These pictures we see in the news are not wild campers and are frankly giving us a bad name.
ОтветитьSorry this is wild clamping than wild camping but that's ok with me wish I could afford a camper van.
ОтветитьDon't you get lots of old pervs with camera's and torches trying to look in your windows when overnighting in such places? Rest assured there will be height barriers there next year....we stayed in 3 places in England a couple of years ago, they are all now blocked off or got 6"6' barriers.
ОтветитьLocal knowledge is the best tool when it comes to park ups. I live in Anglesey, I have a van, I'm always more than happy to point vanners in the direction of good safe park up locations, with local amenities, or secluded locations.
ОтветитьWe had the same issue with boy racers at Lake Vyrnwy. Had to move in the middle of the night, didn't feel safe. I was a bit disappointed to see the comment regarding taking out a crowbar, that is poor advice. You shouldn't escalate a situation where you feel like you need a weapon. Just drive away if you feel that unsafe. Otherwise great video, thanks for sharing.
ОтветитьNever seen wildcamping do you know what wildcamping means 😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьWildcamping ?
ОтветитьNot camping. Overnight parking.
Ответить"So you survived the night" why wouldn't they.
ОтветитьWild camping in a van on a carpark with toilets n showers. Come back when you have slept under a tarp and dug a hole for a No2
ОтветитьSometimes important: To park stealth = not get seen. - ie to be more safe.
Now Corona Pandemy. And sometimes driving for fun only = forbidden.
You need a business reason, or driving to your job. Or for shopping food, etc.
Or to the doctor, hospital, pharmacy.
So you can stay home, or drive and park stealth.
In some countries wild camping or wild parking overnight and inside the vehicle is totaly forbidden.
You need to go to places with fees, like camp grounds, rv places, etc.
Or private ground.
You need a toilette in your camper. ie to leave no traces.
Many Vanlifer has no toilette. And the people become angry, if you put it outside in the fields.
Greetings from germany. (liked + subscribed.)
Definitely trust your instincts, we had a similar experience a few years back, we moved late at night but it was worth it for the peace of mind
ОтветитьThe very vermin of society I'm trying to escape from. Crowbar is always handy to have, but as i used have a woodshop business im sure the mini chainsaw would be even more dissuasive for these bottom feeders.
ОтветитьHi, we wild camped for the first time this week in our new motorhome , please can I ask how we find facilities to empty the cassette toilet while on the road, many thanks Jenny and Dave
Ответить🤔Wild camping in a motor home? 🤣
ОтветитьI think if campsite owners weren’t so greedy people wouldn’t have to look for freebies and they to would benefit as well
ОтветитьLooks like, cars are shoehorned in, next to your campers. There`s resentment in the UK, if we don`t do it, why should you.
Europe`s easier, and coppers are less inclined to bother you.
I love all the people getting triggered by the term "wild camping" 😂 What a bunch of Karens. No offence to any actual Karens who aren't Karens.
ОтветитьWe were camping at that spot on the hill before you go down into whitby, a car came along and dumped a load of household trash, at the side of us, took a photograph and pissed of, trying to make us look like we have dumped it, took us ages to clear it up.
Ответитьwe take the dogs with us, they do watch very well, only bark when there is something going on, did camp in the wild every where, incl. Ukraine, moldavia, Transnistria, never felt unsafe, for peace of mind even a small dog is great, the idea of getting caught by surprise standing in your under ware is gone with a dog,....
Ответитьshould have passed details onto the local council, car reg no. etc they would have issued litter fine to the bastards through post
ОтветитьTechnically this is not wild camping, which is unlawful everywhere in the UK including Scotland with a motorised vehicle. Please revise and stop using the term "wild camping" when rocking up with a motor home/camper. It gives the wrong impression and greatly upsets people who live and work locally. Parking up is perfectly fine. Carry on and enjoy, responsibly!
Ответитьand remember tiredness can kill. when fatigued on the motorway pull over at the next service area, have a caffeinated drink and wild camp for 20 mins until it takes effect.
ОтветитьWant to try it but we have Caravan trailer and was wondering is anyone doing wild camping with trailer 🤪
ОтветитьI’m a trucker and stay out all week not keen on services so basically wild camp all the time not easy in an artic
ОтветитьThe police tape was from a guy going around killing wild campers. LOL
ОтветитьIt’s a shame boy racers don’t have sufficiency self awareness to realise they are idiots.
ОтветитьI was car camping at Ivinghoe Beacon car park one Saturday night in the noughties. Around 1am 20 odd cars turned up and parked next to me and proceeded to do wheel spin laps of the car park. I waited it out for as long as I could but had to drive off eventually to the next car park along. Weekends are always worse for camping in a car park. People come and go throughout the night.
