Just found your channel and just binged watched because they are so good. Was just about to ask where you got the backdrop setup but glad I found the video (I was doing the 2nd method where you use a giant backdrop and it was a pain indeed.) Thanks for sharing this!
Ответитьincredible idea!
a lot of photography equipment is way too big for most product photos, this looks like a really nice size!
Hey Chris! Thanks for the video! I just ordered all o the set-up. It's a great set-up! I would love to see a video on the more common accessories you need for product photography. Where do I get the textured backgrounds and how are they used? Do you commonly use a sheet of plexiglass, mirror, fishing wire, foamboard, etc...? Thanks bro!
ОтветитьI just built mine today and I love it. Thank you so much for sharing this with us it’s perfect for my studio space
ОтветитьWhere did you get that size of seamless paper rolls?
ОтветитьThank you for this video, Chris. Love this setup 👍
ОтветитьI have asked for this setup in your latest video but now I know how to setup, thanks mate :)
ОтветитьHey Chris great Video! The real question is... Where can we find those backdrop paper rolls?
ОтветитьJust ordered a $40 T stand from Amazon, and I suspect it's going to be much less stable than your DIY solution.
Couple quick questions: is the boom arm attachment part (not sure what they're called) made of plastic or metal? I assume the arm is aluminum, but what about the vertical post? Aluminum or steel?
Finally, have you made a video detailing your lights setup? Do you use light stands, or a similar DIY solution to your background support?
Sorry for asking a lot of questions, but what size spring clamps do you use to affix backdrops to the horizontal arm?
Finding clamps that will fit around my T stand bar, while also holding a thin PVC backdrop (so the backdrop hangs below the arm) has been harder than expected, so as long as your setup can hold backdrops the same way, I'll copy it. The clamps that came with my stand barely fit around the bar, and thus won't clamp on a backdrop as well.
Hey Chris! Great video. I'm waiting for supplies to come in. Could you recommend good backdrops? Thanks!
ОтветитьGreat setup and video. Having a bit of trouble finding what I need as the links don't seem to be available for me. Can you tell me what the vertical bar is called and the clamp that it fits into please?
ОтветитьYou said below that you bought your backdrop from Savage and you can buy from B& H but what size is the backdrop in the video? It looks so small. I’m assuming it’s the 26”W?
ОтветитьAre you using construction paper?
ОтветитьGreat idea!
ОтветитьGood video - lots of good ideas to use.
ОтветитьWhat paper do you use, Chris?
ОтветитьWhat size is that paper?
ОтветитьHi Chris, I want to ask, what kind paper would you recomend? I'm searching and searching and can't find much here in eastern-Europe (only wraping paper for gifts). Any amazon tips? ;-) I really like your videos, they are pro and so helpfull! Thank you!
Ответитьi ordered the supplies, cant wait till they reach. i was looking on husky for a work bench similar but can t find one with a lip to attach clamps. i want two clamps one for backdrops but also for a over head shot view.... awesome page
ОтветитьWhere do you buy your backdrop paper for that size?
ОтветитьDo you have a video for your overhead rig shots? Thanks
ОтветитьBLESS YOU FOR SHARING THIS! Thank you Chris
ОтветитьWhat Paper are you using????
Ответитьthank you!!!!!
ОтветитьWhat size paper are you using?
ОтветитьWhat are your backdrop dimensions?
ОтветитьThis build is 🔥! Thank you for the tip and the links. Been trying to find a way to get a backdrop setup going in my small NYC apartment where a full backdrop stand won’t fit. Def going to be building this.
ОтветитьDo you think this is secure enough use as an over head camera rig for a desk over head shot using a mirrorless camera
ОтветитьHi, can you tell me what workbench you were using? I know its husky but do you have a link, thanks man
Ответитьhm where did you get the paper roll by chance?
ОтветитьAs a student, this really helps a lot! Looking forward to more videos <3
ОтветитьI love your voice.
ОтветитьWhat are the paper rolls you use for your setup?
ОтветитьWhere do you get the actual backdrops from?
ОтветитьGreat Video. What is the size of the Black Steel Pipe? 60in or 72in.
ОтветитьLooks great. If you added another arm above it you could mount a camera for top down shots
ОтветитьWhere can i buy backdrops rolls that size?
ОтветитьGreat video -going to make the same set up—-did u get your desk from home depot?—-46 in. W x 24.5 in. D Standard Duty 9-Drawer Mobile Workbench Cabinet with Solid Wood Top in Gloss Black?
ОтветитьVERY helpful!!!!
ОтветитьWhat background material you usually use
ОтветитьThanks for the helpful videos. Would you please provide a link for the Husky Table you used in Product Photography at Home - DIY Backdrop!
Ответитьcan i use any metal pipe? let me know
ОтветитьI've used a curtain pole attached to wall with no curtain and clamped a PVC matt white backdrop on it to take mannequin size shots. Trouble was backlight from the window behind, so I bought the 2 meter X 2 meter backdrop set up which you showed, just waiting on it coming. For smaller shots I have been using matt white wallpaper rolls taped to the wall . Now though I am building a bigger set up for my smaller products so this video has helped me loads.
ОтветитьGood morning Chris, I recently found you video and decided to give it a try. It works great. Thank you very much.
ОтветитьThis is great! Do you have an suggestions for a floor one with similar items/setup?
Ответитьgenius!
ОтветитьThis is exactly what I need.
Sorry for sporadic questions. So you use Savage but what size paper do you use?
Excellent
ОтветитьWhat's your current backdrop setup? Are you thinking about building this?
