I am not as educated with psychology as you are but i am mid-level. My wife likes to watch these with me because she gets insight into how i view the world by you teaching classes for free using this game that we played together. Thank you for keeping this series going. I will click on every stanley episode you make.

You know, in seeing you act in defiance to the narrator
Sure, you did it in the first episode, but for some reason today, this made me think of a game called "Dude, Stop!"
Which is a game about a game tester testing a game that someone made, who has very specific expectations as to how the game is supposed to be played
It's a fairly niche game, but who knows? Maybe you might find some enjoyment out of it.

I'm SO SAD you didn't scan the QR code in the game (it was on merch stand) , it would've sent you to the "stanley parable 2" page with hilarious (at least for me) 8 min long video. I really wanted to see your reaction. =(

Dont say the relationship is toxic, if you are both in for the fun of it, its not toxic (i dont say it because i love those little consentual mindgames myself 😅)

There are obviously many more endings, but if it's "closure" or "a feeling of completing the game" you want: remember what the female narrator said in the museum ending. The only way to win the game is by closing it. That is the only choice that is truly your own.

Skipping over the majority of the guilt-tripping dialogue at the end of the space ending seems like a very weird choice considering your main draw to this game seemed to have stemmed from a therapist's perspective. That was like the one part where I thought you'd have something to say but... no you just edited it all out. You never really edit much out, but you specifically edited that out? I just don't understand.

Brady: "I am OBSESSED with this hole"
The Narrator: "I don't think that's healthy, Brady. But it's my fault, really. I thought the hole was good. A good idea, a good distraction. Why do holes exist? Well but to look through them. To go through them, to explore! But this was too much, and I apologise. We could… um… restart the game perhaps? What do you say, Brady? I think we should. We should restart and forget about all this hole business." [chuckles] "See what I did there? This hole business. Ha! Isn't that clev—

Your talks aout perfectionism really hit close for me. I've been drawing on a pretty amateur level for a while now and I often feel my rampant perectionist mind creep up to me and ruin my mood or make me scared to share my drawings with anyone. I know it's not helpful to think this way and luckily it has slowly gotten better over the years bit by bit, but it's really difficult for me to completely overcome it.

Can really relate to the perfectionism part. Once read a book for creatives, can't remember which one, and it said to let go of the expectations/the outcome of your work (how many people will see your work, if they'll like it, etc.) & to not your worth with the quality/outcome of your work. This has really helped me to create more content/reduce anxiety about the outcome, share something and move on. if it isn't as "perfect" as you wanted it to be, this says nothing about your skills/worth and the world doesn't end if someone doesn't like your work/doesn't understand your work.

I don't want to give it all away but there is a super secret ending ! I can't reveal much but keep these words in mind... remember, you can't jump up a mountain, the snow of a mountain is as white as the windows of this video game... OK last clue lol... stand on 1 book stand on 2 stand on 3 books stand on 4... are you now higher up ? Hopefully this helps you get the ending without giving anything away lol for those that know please help out with a clue without giving anything away lol

I love your comment about not wanting to roleplay as Jim... because of a certain mouthwash.

I loved the ending where you just panicked, forgetting the bucket. BTW staying in the room and just waiting it out might not be for you, but it would be among the top ways of not playing along with what the narrator says. Because his expectation is that you would want to find a solution, but Stanley does not have to be interested in that.

About not getting closure: Some things are better abandoned before they take you with them to whatever place they would take you if you persisted. Trying to get to a satisfying solution or any solution on a specific topic is one of the ways into a psychosis.

Hi Brady I just wanted to say I love your videos. I am not that old (15) but you made me so interested in psycology thank you for teaching these "free lessons" I enjoy them very much and gain insight and knowledge with every video you make. Please never stop making these. I just love observing people and their feelings and i find psycology fascinating. So if you see this i just wanted to express my gratitude hehe : )

If perfectionism is not being happy with your results.. what is it when you are happy with your results but always try to improve them, with tweaks big or small?
