It's a tired trope that we only have two choices. We have 100,000,000 choices. Maybe 20 of them are viable, and we spend months whittling those choices down to the top two, and you can STILL vote for whomever you want.

Just FYI, Trump is going to use the insurrection act to use the national guard as a police force, if you resist their authority in any way you will be arrested, declared an enemy of the state and first put in a detention center for processing and then sent to el Salvador without due process and no recourse. He said we have to crack down on this mob mentality that happened in cities around the united states. He is talking about the legal peaceful protests that took place recently.
That applies to natural born citizens, naturalized citizens and permanent residents with legal visas. Now that's fascist.

I think this is a bit of a fallacy. Facism is always bad, Democracy is better but can be improved. You are taking thr US's flawed first past the post voting system, when other democratic systems give more choices and have better outcomes.

The only thing that makes Democracy the best is that all other choices are worse.

The thing with any form of government is that they all work...up until the point that they dont. Just look at everything historically, all the nations, kingdoms, empires, ect that have ever existed and that no longer exist. Every system of government is finite. Some of the systems have a shorter lifespan than others, but they will all eventually crumble and fail, and something different will take its place.

Actually, there were many. Democrats and Republicans became the most popular and fazed the others out. The more you know.

You don't have just 2 choises, you have loads. The problem is that people are afraid of change and new, and so the 2 major parties remain in power year after year, decade after decade, because even though they suck, the people know they suck and it's comforting because it's something they know and expect. Also, a lot of people don't want a good government because that would mean they have nobody to blame for their miserable lives. People love to complain and hate on others. Finally, it absolutely blows my mind that the only thing that qualifies one to vote is age. No test in knowledge or IQ. It's so strange. But not really, because if only smart people with some knowledge got to vote, I'm sure the world would be much less corrupt. Democracy could be a good system, never great but good, if you had some real qualifications to be able to vote. 20-year-old TikTokers who never spent a minute working gets to vote about the future of a country?! Wtf man? It's insane. Not everybody should get to vote. Not everyone can get a drivers licence, buy a gun or get various permits but everyone gets to vote.

Politics is weird. People know politicians lie but they still vote by what they say.

Firstly two choices is way better than one because there is competition, second its every four years you have more choices, third those two choices are out of many other choices. Fourth having loads of choices is not the answer, you want a few good choices rather than many bad choices
