Today, I rode China's unique capsule sleeper train from Shenzhen to Beijing.

Note: The train's sleeper cabins are divided into upper and lower berths, with the lower berth priced 110 RMB (15 USD) more than the upper berth. I purchased an upper berth ticket for 860 RMB (120 USD). This train operates only on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays.

Here are some pros and cons (just my personal opinions):
Unlike regular sleeper trains in China, this one has vertically arranged beds, which reduce rocking and improve sleep comfort by aligning the body with the train's direction. Each bed has a curtain, providing a private space similar to a capsule hotel.
However, since the carriage is open-plan, any noise (like someone snoring) will affect all passengers inside. Additionally, the curtains provide minimal light blocking, making lighting and noise significant challenges for light sleepers.
