Back in Zurich, we had the rare opportunity to visit SWISS' hangar. Here, Patrick Scherrer, Head of Continuing Airworthiness Engineering at Swiss, introduced the AeroSHARK to us. Applied to all the Boeing 777s in the airline's fleet, the AeroSHARK is a film that, thanks to its shark-inspired riblets, reduces the aircraft's fuel emissions by up to 1%. SWISS was the launch customer of this product, which is the result of the collaboration between Lufthansa Technik and BASF.
