My son was denied years ago bc his eye doctor did not want to admit his 4 eye surgeries failed and he was still legally blind. He also has ADHD and Autisum. He is now 16 and can't even get through vocational assistance programs.

I watched people outside working hard on disability and while I'm in and out of the hospital 9 times in a year and a half I'm still recovering and I've been denied and even got to have a hearing and denied and I'm still recovering I have food stamps that is it and I have three kids pretty discouraging ya think

Am I eligible for disability benefits if i'm batshit crazy, mentally unstable, a total psycho, have PTSD, BPD, depression, autism and schizophrenia?

I've been told by my friends I won't be approved because I'm too old (58) and I already been four times hospitalized due to heart issues and infections. High blood pressure, pre diabetes, asthma, thyroid nodules and lymphnodes. They discover I have bad disks in the spine, severe superior vena cava, heart blockage, lymphnodes...etc. I can't walk much because I ran our of air. I'm under medication from the cardiologist and endocrinologist. It's terrible.

Hi. After receiving the stimulus check I needed to spend it because as an ssdi recipient I was only allowed to have a few thousand dollars. When I began doing that I noticed that my items began arriving opened and taped shut and some things were broken so I couldn't use them and I'm talking about computers and jars of peanut butter and I'm deplatformed on social media. Im very serious about finding legal representation in Illinois.

I have "returning" seizures(had them also as a baybee) that I'm on meds for and I get lightheaded--even on meds--if I try to work at moderate levels it seems. Strangely, sometimes, lightheadedness with light work or standing movement. I've had seizures where nobody was home(on meds*): the symptoms are waking up from a fallen position/very weak-confused for an hour or so[if I was elderly I don't know if I could get up]/no short term memory and/or having a severely bitten tongue.

*Though they have been very rare on meds.

Why are they taking money out of my check every month just to deny people. If people can’t work then they cannot work. 80% is to high of a denial to be stealing everyone’s money to pay nobody

I applied over 2 years ago after a brain tumor that left me with permanent conditions. I was denied 18 months later after my first application. Appealed immediately and I am still waiting to get denied in reconsideration (more than likely will happen) and has been almost 9 months. I do not have an official lawyer yet but have spoken to them, my age (37) has a lot to do with it which is bs in my opinion. Age doesn't matter if you have a true disability and cannot physically work. I have two young kids and my husband is our sole provider. It is not sustainable or feasible to live with one income in these current financial conditions. The lawyer said to contact them when I am denied again and then we will appeal and get a hearing. The lawyer was certain I would be denied again. The hearings can be years from the second denial as well. The process is flawed and unfortunately you HAVE to ride it out. As difficult as it is ride out the process. It also varies by state. In my state we are one of the SLOWEST in the country according to the attorney I spoke with. SSDI will quote you approx 4- 7 months for an initial approval/denial but double that AT LEAST. I hope this helps.

My biggest question is I got a lawyer and all and filed for my disability it took just under 12 months to get denied well then now I'm going into 9 months for my appeal do I have had nothing for 2 years down there and no one told me to go get SSI or anything it was do your disability and all that well now that I'm two years in it and living in the streets now they tell me where maybe you can go get SSI why didn't they tell me to go get my SSI when I file for my disability then I would have had money and medical and everything but no they leave me laying in the street for 2 years

How sad it is that one needs a lawyer in this process of getting THEIR OWN MONEY back from the government, who shouldn’t have been taking your money in the first place all those years you were working! The whole system is a JOKE!

All I know is if you don't have enough work credits that could be a denied applicant as a person with a disability has to have enough credits your payments are calculated by your earnings each month, than your disability has to add up why you can't be physically performed the tasks like everyday in your home or at work,
Doctors has to evaluate you therile enough to prove that on documents
They have to be 100 accurate with evidence Your disability has to be very severe enough to where you can't live stand walk run or cook or use bathroom or carrying things they will test you in physical therapy occupational therapy and of course they will send you to SSA doctor to evaluate you.. keep in mind they want to see if it's a chronic long term disability or disease near to death .
Something that affected you and no cure for it and It causes you to be in a wheelchair for life...they are more interested in something like that . otherwise. most cases would be denied due to lack of evidence and your problem was not servere enough

I can tell you what happened to me.
I attended the hearing by video and answered all the questions.
The judgement came back showing details that applied to someone else and I was denied.
My attorney refused to appeal which should have been a slam-dunk.
That whole mess is a bunch of criminals.
