Quality stuff, bloody love Beak.
ОтветитьIt's great to see the West Coast IPA get a revival in the last year alongside lagers. Just two years ago you were seeing West Coast brewers slapping 'hazy' on their beers just so they will sell. That era feels like it's coming to an end. And it feels like West Coast is becoming a much more distinct beer in contrast to NEIPA.
ОтветитьThe 2 WC IPAs were the stars of the festival for me. Both were really excellent
ОтветитьBeen very fortunate to have Beak on my doorstep, they've brewed some absolute worldies over the past few years. I was in the online tasting session hosted by you and Robin the other week and I thought this westie was absolutely stunning! The name, the artwork, and the flavours capture everything about that cozy, west coast campfire feeling 🍺
ОтветитьWest is best!
ОтветитьWine gums?
ОтветитьThats good timijg, I'm putting together a west coast recipe. Cheers lads
Ответитьthanks guys for these series. I wish they could provide a little bit more info about the grist and yeast used.
ОтветитьI'm going to guess the reason for the confusion was the when someone says they want to make a westy or a west coast, the default there is IPA. As far as I know, a west coast pale ale isn't really a thing, it's just a pale ale. Like Sierra Nevada Pale isn't a westy, it's just a pale. But the example the brewer brought up, Pliny the Elder, that's a quintessential double IPA, but I guess you could call that a west coast double IPA. To me, someone who lived in California for 18 years where the style was basically created, a westy is a 6%-7% ABV malt forward IPA using mostly traditional American C hops. However, I definitely like the addition of Simcoe and Amarillo for a modern west coast IPA.
ОтветитьAmongst some amazing collab beers, this was the standout.. simply superb!
ОтветитьBag drop*
ОтветитьJust brewed my first WC! Kegging tomorrow!
ОтветитьLoved the video. The beer name could come accross as a little insensitive.
Ответитьman I’d love to get a homebrew recipe and process sheet from these guys for hazy ipa!
ОтветитьI just realised I drank this the other day without knowing it was part of the channel, really enjoyed it.
ОтветитьYum. Looks so good I can taste it through the screen!
ОтветитьHow do I get these anniversary beers in Hong Kong? Please!
ОтветитьThis was my favourite of the six I got from Malt Miller, smelled amazing. Closely followed by the Verdant collab 😀🍻

Ответитьas a Czech I really appreciate the name Beak déšť/pils :D
ОтветитьDiscovered BEAK this summer when I was back in the UK visiting family. They blew me away. South Coast represent!!!
ОтветитьI’ve got your beer right here, it’s “puck drop” a west coast pale ale from wild east brewing company out of Brooklyn New York. Very nice westy
ОтветитьMust be nice to talk and drink beer for a living! Cheers!👍🏻🍻❤️
ОтветитьGummy bears
ОтветитьGlad to see some love for Beak, one of my favourite IPA/pale ale producers. Always a banging beer.
ОтветитьWine Gums - the sticky version of fruit pastilles
ОтветитьAnd i drink to you on friday vegan hamburgers night together with my lady! Wonderful episode again. Sipping a Lidl brewed “strong blond” ‘Crius’. Starts out well, little bit thin on the finish unfortunately. Cheers to the weekend everyone 🍻🤟🏼🤗
ОтветитьWine gums?
ОтветитьGuys, got a hint there that the end was insight. You produced excellent quality in your work and inspired many to raise their standards with consumption & home brew. Keep it up🍺👍
ОтветитьThis beer was exceptional. Pure Barley sugar sweets. Was there a recipe posted anywhere?
ОтветитьDid the recipe ever get released for this?
ОтветитьWest coast, best coast? 🍻❤
