Timely video. Glad we got residency in 2022.
ОтветитьGreat and timely. i love how concise you are which brief. I was a student in Mexico city 42 years ago and learned quite a bit of Spanish. I also was able to travel many different parts. I loved the food ,beaches, and people. I did return in 1988,for 2 wks., traveling to Baja Mexico and other places. I had a friend move to San Miguel de Allende before Covid, and she loved it. She had to return to the USA because of her health. Another moved to Bucerias, near Puerto Vallarta, and he loves it. The prices and cost of living , I believe are still more affordable than the USA. I wish i could yet have some issues to take care of. Take care.
ОтветитьHey guys, Tampa here. Interesting video, and definitely gave me a few new ideas. I have been researching Merida, and find that living, and expenses are affordable. However, haven't stopped looking further, and being on a retirement budget, all needs to be considered to enjoy a new life in Mexico. As you know, we have some major trauma happening in our politics in the states. and I am just fed up with all this crap. My "Lady" didn't get into the Oval Office, and I can't deal with "Orange Face" any longer or his Project 2021 !! Thanks again for your info, and maybe I will buy you guys a cocktail one day......soon. 😎
ОтветитьGreat luck boys! Mexico is a beautiful people/place!
Cheers Jeff
Coming down after the new year to check out some cities ... San Migual and Puerto Vallarta ... I'll have to check out where you guys live as well, you have a new subscriber !!
ОтветитьExcellent video! I am now retired and am seriously considering Mexico as my retirement home. I've made a few separate trips there during the past 2 years. I especially like Ajijic, on the edge of Lake Chapala which is charming, historic and has a huge gay expat community. I also like Puebla and Guadalajara. I hope in future videos you will discuss other towns for LGBTQ expats as well.
ОтветитьThaks❤❤
ОтветитьGreat video! We are a couple living in upstate NY currently but researching options. Are there areas in Mexico that have more tolerable summer temperatures? Also, for permanent residency, are you required to give up your US citizenship? Will also have to research options for collecting social security from the states as I am retiring next year. Thanks again :-)
ОтветитьHelpful video! Have you filed a claim thru any of the insurance companies you recommend? I've read horror stories of nonpayment thruout the travel health insurance industry.
ОтветитьHi Guys, I have an appointment at the Mexico Consulate in Orlando next month. Curious what questions they ask during the interview and what types of documents did you provide. Were you able to provide printed out statements or do they require something more official? Any tips would be appreciated.
ОтветитьLOL !! EXPATRIATES AND IMMIGRANTS!!
ОтветитьNot sure y'all realize the service you're providing. I am despondent and seeing this brought me hope. The thing I don't understand is how to make a living in Mexico.
ОтветитьDefintely looking forward to moving outside of USA after this election.
ОтветитьAbsolutely. I had already planned to move abroad within a year or so. However, after these election results, I have placed my condo on the market and applied for Social Security earlier than I actually wanted. However, it is what it is. Thanks for this video.

Mexico will be my next homebase
Thank you. I have a gay son and a trans daughter, and looking for LGBTQ+-friendly places for possible relocation.
ОтветитьThis is very insightful for so many people. There are always important factors such as language and culture to factor in, plus how feasible will networking e.t.c. be if planning to work there. It is always possible to hire translators particularly if working in business. For destinations that have very different cultures it is very important to visit first before moving there, to ascertain how people from different communities and backgrounds are treated. Within many countries there can be significant regional differences too.
ОтветитьWhite people coining the term “Expat” is disgusting, why don’t you call it what it is, immigrant, is it because that’s only tied to brown people?
ОтветитьYou will get a LOT of traffic, I am glad I found you. How long was the process fro residency and did you hired lawyers? TIA :)
ОтветитьMexico is definitely a place to consider. Money goes so much farther. Easy to go back and forth to the States. But Spain still has a special place in my heart and I'd rather be an expat there.
ОтветитьYooo thank you!!!
ОтветитьThanks for the information. Me and my partner have been thinking about moving to Mexico. We currently live in McAllen Texas. Plan is to sell our home and buy a beautiful architectural home in a nice area. Also, how is it making friends over there ? God bless you guys 🫶🙏
ОтветитьWe are seriously considering a Mexico move. We are going to visit in March or April. We were considering Santiago de Querétaro. Have you visited?
ОтветитьBeen in and out of MEXICO 🇲🇽 for 40 years. Spent about 4 months there already this year. Worst experiences were being told off " why you not speak better Spanish so we can really talk." I also gave a small small shop owner a large bill for two bottles of water. She was not happy...duh on me. Love the diversity of the country, the ancient culture, food and of course the very generous hospitality of the people.
ОтветитьI have had MX Permanent Residency since 2021; however my living expenses are lower here in small town Mo USA. Not all gays have high incomes and come from ultra high cost places. Someone needs to do videos for budget based singles. Probably more of us singles needing the guidance :)
ОтветитьYou are a source of hope and service to the thousands of us in the US, who are planning an exit. Bless you both for doing this, it really matters and is making a difference in peoples lives.
ОтветитьThank you ❤
ОтветитьGreat video! What do you do for USD - Mexican Peso conversions for large purchases, for example? Conversion currenc charges are often quite high. Also, is Tulum getting hit by all the hurricanes in the Caribbean and Gulf? Do you see that worsening? What do you think about San Miguel de Allende as a place to relocate? What would a 1000sq ft condo cost to rent, generally speaking? Thoughts? Thanks guys!!
ОтветитьHappy for you guys 🎉
ОтветитьHey guys. Thank you for the video! Question please. I will marry my fiancé in Cape Town next month which will make it legal in US and Mexico. However with the changing political climate in the US right now, I’m considering Mexico for our expat life. After gaining temp or permanent residency in Mexico, would it be easy to bring my future Nigerian husband to Mexico? Thank you in advance for your response.
ОтветитьIs Gay Marriage legal?? In mexico in 2024??
ОтветитьI'm going to the UK. Mexico is to close to trumps America
ОтветитьIn my research about moving to Mexico, I have never seen anyone discuss the water, (drinking. household) issue. Do you use a whole house filter? What system to do use?
ОтветитьAre there any specifics you can provide about the transgender community there ? This is a huge deal for me especially now. My partner and I are looking into Portugal as well. Any insights are much appreciated 🙏🏻
ОтветитьDid you use a relocation service to help you with your visa process? If so, would you mind letting me know who is good to use for this? Thank you.
ОтветитьDo you know how the Mexican health care system treats people with HIV regarding doctor visits and meds?
ОтветитьThank u. ❤
Ответить¡Viva México! 🇲🇽
