Rhino is for ninjas!
Ответитьwhich is easier to learn?
ОтветитьI stick to rhino because of grasshopper and Sub-D.I use it for building facade design ,free form roofs and crazy designs.
ОтветитьCould you do a video on Grasshopper vs Dynamo vs Blender Geometry Nodes vs Unreal Procedural Mesh?
Ответитьawesome video bro
ОтветитьRhino was developed in the early/mid 1990's and not 1980.
ОтветитьIt is not about which one is better but about which one is good for the job you have to do.
ОтветитьThose are two totally different software, one is 10 time more expensive of the other - what is the point of comparing them.
ОтветитьStop! don't compere two different softwares. And Rhino is nurbs modeling software. And it was initially designed to be a plugin for AutoCad. That's why it have such similarities to AutoCad and command interface like AutoCad and that's why it is quick modeler. It's in completely different leauge.
ОтветитьHow to compare potatoes to apples. Misleading and meaningless video. Note: I use them both
ОтветитьYou can definitely get a free 90 day trial of the newest Rhino. I have it lol
Ответить🦏
ОтветитьAlways Rhino!
ОтветитьI look at it like Rhino is a design software and SOLIDWORKS is a complete engineering software. A lot of CAM and and CAE features, simulation tools can be found out of the box in SOLIDWORKS, which are entirely absent in Rhino and mostly need 3rd party proprietary plugins or scripts. But I absolutely love Rhino's Grasshopper, hope such a feature would be added in SOLIDWORKS too, it'd open a range of algorithmic design capabilities. SOLIDWORKS is more inclined towards mechanical engineering (or maybe that's how I feel because I am a mech student)
Also, Rhino's 2D capabilities are not at all useful for producing machine drawings of any kind, and at best, it can produce product catalogue drawings, that too with no in-built tools for dimensioning or annotation.
In a nutshell, this comparison makes little sense. Only major thing in common is that both have 3D modelling tools lol. I've only ever seen Rhino being used by my architecture friends at college. All automotive or aeronautical people I've talked to use CATIA or NX but never Rhino.
This is awesome!
Ответитьwhich is better? word or excel?
ОтветитьRhino can do organic design, also by using grasshopper for architecture, while to solidworks more powerful to simulation and CAD system parametric design for automotive, both can't compere just make any video.
ОтветитьWould it be correct to say Rhino is not a complete parametric 3 D modeler which can do concept to engineering production friendly 3D and 2D
Are Rhino's 3D surface modelling capability as good or better than SW/SE/ Pro E or Catia and NX?
Parametric Sw=10, Rh=1; Mechanical Modeling Sw=10, Rh=2; Surfaces Sw=4, Rh=10 ; Cinematic Sw=10, Rh=0; They are not comparable . (SolidWorks, Catia, Sólido Edge, Nx)… these others are. (Rhino , 3DsMax, Blender, Maya ) These others are comparable to each other.... Don't compare the egg with the chestnut. 😁😎👍
ОтветитьSuch a straightforward and helpful video. Thanks!
Ответитьwe can say it another way , which one is better .. Engineering or Design !!! Answer = no Comparison
ОтветитьDude, check your info .......NOBODY in Aviation is using Rhino LOL....Im in Aerospace and we are using Siemens NX. The other software that is widely used in aerospace and automotive is CATIA and Alias for Class A surfacing. SW is used for some product development and Rhino for some industrial design, but its lack of a history tree makes it pretty much useless and DOA as an engineering tool .
ОтветитьInformative and very well presented.
Rhino is an amazing surfacing tool. It can be made parametric or not through Grasshopper ( node based parametrics ) . I can use it for CNC, rapid prototyping but also for simulations like in CFD and other sim packages. Rhino started as a plugin for AutoCAD back in the 1990s to design complex ship's hull in 3D. It was extensively used to design America's Cup racing sail boats and it still is. I m in aerospace ( major business jet manufacturer ) and I ve been using for 25 years Rhino along with many other designers in engineering and had no problems working with our fellow engineers who use Catia exclusively. I worked on interiors and exteriors. I built an incredible amount of physical mock -ups all thanks to Rhino exclusively. I do renderings and conceptual work, 2D and 3D layouts and VR with it but I can also prototype anything I wish for. Rhino uses the same technologies as Siemen NX , or Catia or Solidworks meaning NURBS surfaces. That s why Rhino is extensively used in product design & architecture. I ve used Catia , I played with NX and Solidworks and they re all great packages. But for my specific needs and requirements Rhino does an excellent job. On top of all the surfacing tools using NURBS I also have SUBDs and a complete rendering package, i have access to grasshopper all for a very decent price. Not to mention having access to an incredible array of plugins that add even more flexibility to Rhino. Rhino's community, in ALL fields, is huge and keeps growing day by day. I have ZERO regret choosing Rhino.
Ответитьperhaps the best title for this presentation would be: the differences between rhino and SW
ОтветитьSorry, but this is misleading information. Rhino is barely used in the automotive industry. I worked for most European and some of the Asian and American car companies and I've never seen rhino except for visual programming whith Grasshopper, when they build komplicted grids. If you want to be a modeler in the car industry use alias! Even though Rhino is developed by EX alias wavefront employees, rhino is more used in product development maybe in the boat industry sometimes it seems like the Architecture industry and surely the product design industry but not or barely in the transportation design industry! So for everyone who wants to be 3D modeler in the automotive industry you beter learn Alias or blender.
ОтветитьI’m way faster on Rhino but that’s just me I’m sure others are more fluent and skilled at solid works
