Thank you!
ОтветитьThis is really a lot of help man. Really good work.
ОтветитьMost of the time i used my eye on making base of a blade, i never thought there was a formula to counculate the lengt by it thickness and volumn. Thanks man, you should have earn more subcribers. Love you from Vietnam
Ответитьthis is an excellent video
ОтветитьI think of this video as absolutely necessary for everyone who thinks about forging japanese style swords, from Tanto to Katana.
You really earned your subscription here!
Very nice video!
Awesome stuff man. I just got myself a little forge and am just tinkering with railroad spike knives for now, But the ultimate goal is of course swords. I noticed one of your cut marks watching the 2nd video and just thought it was a defect or impurity or something. Was pretty sure you knew what you were doing though lol so I wasn't worried.
ОтветитьThis is so helpful! Thank you!
ОтветитьDo you correct for oxidation losses?
ОтветитьWow that's smart
ОтветитьHayyyy!!!! A sane American😂 using the metric system! Thank you so much you just made my life 10x easier
ОтветитьHello, just found your channel today and binge watching it. Could u share your calculation file with me? Thank you.
ОтветитьI think you've saved my blacksmithing "career"! Without you, I would've probably quit making a katana... I was ready to just hammer that piece of steel without any knowledge of what i should do or try to do... THANKS!
ОтветитьWow! This is one of the best forging videos. Thank you!
ОтветитьIntegral calculus would help with this
Ответитьis there somewhere I could download the spreadsheet you were talking about?
ОтветитьThanks so much for your videos sir. I am in Tucson Arizona. Is there a way to direct message you?
ОтветитьI just use a reference blade blank and swing. Muscle memory takes over after a couple years then tennis elbow hits with improper swing technique learned to late , thirty forty crappers turned Damascus a miracle happens a sword not matched since
Days of when emerges from the fire and ash
And screams I am alive !!!!🌩🌩⛈ that’s when it happens , you see a ray of hope , no calculators or abacus or dark magic called metric did it for you , only u know !!!😫
Tension breaker sorry.
You hold the secret !!!!!
That’s correct it’s .... the moon or tidal wave or cow farts why the hell u listening to me this guy knows numbers .
You can calculate the initial length of the sunobe but it is impossible to calculate the segments with this formulas. Because the volume is a function of the length and vice versa. If I calculate Volume I need the length or if I calculate length I need the volume. However it´s and EXCELLENT VIDEO. please if you can, make an explanatory video. CONGRATULATION.
ОтветитьI have no idea what you're saying (I suck really really bad at math) but I enjoy your video,
ОтветитьI subscribed after watching just one of your vids, unfortunately I'm not good at math and I am unable to use the variables in the video to get the corresponding answers to verify I've done the math correctly with the provided equations. It'd probably be a great pain to do so but would you consider doing a video working through the equations step by step, sort of like a math teacher?. The video IS highly informative and more mathematically inclined people probably understood everything just watching it once. Awesome vids 👍🏻
ОтветитьI was wondering how do you know how long to make the sunobe if you want your nagasa to be a specific length? If I want to have a nagasa of 762mm how long should my sunobe be? Would it also be 762mm? Thank you so much for doing these videos. I can't wait for you to finish the shinogi zukuri blade that you are making!
Ответитьthis is beautiful..lol
ОтветитьWho was your teacher that told you to keep calipers handy?
Ответитьexcellent video, congratulations.
Could you give me the measurements of a katana?
Could u add a download for the Spreadsheet Please? or show a more detailed explanation of the formulas?? Ty. Have a Blessed Day!😃😃😃
ОтветитьI just found a mistake in my formulas. The last item inside the parenthesis should be T2, not W1. I'm not sure what I was thinking.
