For the first one: Is it absolutely confirmed they saw him in the parking lot, or just someone they may have thought resembled him? Gunshots can sound close when they are farther away, when they come from the mountains. If he ran into a bear, shot at it, then the bear mauled him, and took his body and hid it (the way bears do, when they want to hide their food for later consumption), there is a very good chance he might not be found. Many times, all that is left after a bear consumes a person, are a few bones, a few scraps of cloth, and blood. Sorry to be so graphic, but it's the truth. I think someday a hiker may come upon a human skull that will have teeth matching his. Unfortunately, we sometimes end up on the wrong side of wildlife when we go hiking in the mountains, and a single shot is all the person has time for, and it isn't enough. Coincidentally, a person matching his description was walking in the parking lot. His vehicle was untouched, which would confirm he never made it to the parking lot. If he did, he would have made an attempt to get into it, and there would have been evidence of a shooting in the parking lot - blood, a casing, leaves in disarray from a body being dragged - something to indicate a crime had taken place. There was a witness, so they didn't have time to clean up the scene of their casings, etc. Plus, the witness only heard a gunshot - no tires squealing to indicate a car attempting a quick getaway, which would be something one would do after a gun was fired. No, I think he fired at a bear, but was unfortunately killed, then eaten by it. His body could be hidden anywhere under the thick bushes of the mountains. The second one is most likely either a disgruntled ex employee, or a rival. They probably were able to get them under control via gas or drugs. The man with the motorcycle most likely arrived after the others were killed, made the discovery, attempted to escape, but failed. I would look at who the newest employees were, if poison was how they were able to be controlled, because they would have consumed something made by someone they trusted. Otherwise, the person could have been living in the attic unnoticed, and while outside or wearing a gas mask, piped in the gas until they were knocked out, then once the gas dissipated, came in and killed them. Whoever had the most to gain by the boss' death, or whoever was wronged the most by him, is the culprit. The third one is clearly the male friend. He never heard voices. That was just an excuse to leave early, and create a scene. He left, removed all of the lightbulbs, unlocked the doors, and watched the girls. Then, in the cover of darkness, he returned. Perhaps, he knocked on the door and made an excuse to get her to come out willingly with him, then kidnapped, raped, and killed her in another location once he got her away. Or he snuck in via the backdoor, and was able to drag a drunk and unconscious Lorraine out and kill her. He may have killed the mother of the children that resembled her as well, or it might have been an incredible coincidence. However, he was almost definitely guilty of her murder. The fact that he ended his life 5 yrs later says it all. I think they were about to discover the truth (or he thought they were), and he ended it, because he couldn't stand the thought of life in prison. He may have been talking to a girl in California, who he convinced to make the phone calls, or he may have known the doctor somehow, and he had him making calls, and leaving false clues to take the trail away from him. Maybe they are related to each other, somehow. Or he ran away, knew the woman who made the videos, and made the plans with her. Lorraine never left her home state. She was killed the same night she went missing. Ani appears to have had a psychotic break, and disappeared on her own accord. Everything points to that. She left willingly, she was calm and alone in the videos, she was communicating with her family, and she was able to remove normal amounts of money and move freely - even in the seedy parts of town. It wouldn't be the first time someone gave up a nice job and seemingly perfect life to live in a somewhat lowlife part of town. She may have had a lot of stress on her shoulders from the upcoming wedding, moving to another country, and from her job. She may have even had a double life as a drug smuggler. She did travel a lot to foreign countries. It's always the ones you least suspect, who are the ones who do it. That way, they can get through customs. There is a reason that she decided to take that last minute trip - whether it was the incredible stress she felt, or the chance to smuggle more drugs. There is a reason she left her friends with no word - whether that is a psychotic break due to all of the stress, or because she was dealing with the drugs in Hong Kong, and possibly also doing them herself. It's quite clear that whatever the reason, it was her own choice. People suffering from psychotic breaks will often go for long periods without communication, then suddenly reappear, as though nothing happened. If it was due to drugs, there is always the possibility that she was murdered by someone in a deal gone wrong. It's always sad when people go missing without a trace, because the families don't get closure. They don't get their final goodbye, or a grave to visit. I hope someday they get answers so that they can finally find some peace. I hope that any of them who are still living are happy (Ani, maybe), and those who have died are resting in peace.

The first story could be that he took his own life, but I could also see that the tip of the drug lab matching with the kind of guy Jonathan seemed to be. If he did find someone cooking meth in the hills, I highly doubt he would retreat quietly, considering he confronted a bear. His body not being found makes me consider the latter. His comment to his wife could just have been an extremely tragic coincidence. My heart goes out to his daughter, I hope she is holding up well today.

I was in Search and Rescue for a few years and unfortunately so many hikers and campers go missing every year all around the world, you take a wrong turn and get lost, you get injured, bear or cougar attack, so many things can happen and so many people are never found.

Last ladie became an organ donor.

For the last case, I feel like something happened to her to cause her to check out of the hotel on her own without telling anyone. She could've been sexually assaulted. She withdrew the money from the ATM to go back to Canada but whoever it was that assaulted took her.

Rewatching this video, and thinking about it if the police, fbi, etc. put as much effort into all missing person's cases as they did with Jonathan's case, there would be more reuinited families or closure and a better view of law inforcement

I used to trail run devils punchbowl once a week when I was working in Palmdale as an air traffic controller! I was always alone, hardly ever ran into people, signed in at the trailhead. I was never afraid, even with snake and bear sightings… except… one time. I was half way on my way back from the devils punchbowl lookout, so still a couple of miles from the parking area, ranger station and my car, and the whole trail was very narrow switchbacks on the side of the San Gabriel mountains. I ran into a dude who was all alone… carrying a crossbow, wtf would he need that for. He tried to chat me up but I said I had a bet with the ranger I could beat my previous time so I needed to book it back. I was super anxious the whole way back and when I got to the sign out log, there was no single male still signed in. There was no ranger on duty to report this to, could have been nothing… 😳

Geez. Like in Hong Kong for 4 years and once stayed in Chunking Mansion in a hostel. Was super lucky that nothing happened to me even though a hostel attendant tried tricking me into paying twice. I arrived to HK in 2015 and never felt unsafe, however, it is very easy to find trouble in Kowloon. Wan Chai is located on the island and is a bar area for 50+ wester gentleman, otherwise is a pretty decent area by day

A cool story to look into and help get the word out about it is a story only about a year old. Parkersburg West Virginia native Gretchen Fleming disappeared after bar hopping. This being a small town no one has seen or heard from her since. Getting her story out there might help the case.

My memory is horrible but I distinctly remember a woman named (I believe) Lorraine who looks EXACTLY like the aged up picture of Laureen. This was in Ohio if you’re curious at all. It’s all I can do but I don’t want to start a witch hint. It just gave me chills seeing such a familiar face with such a similar name

I know this is a long shot.. and I don’t have a lot of information to give so I don’t know if I should even call the tip line. However I live a few hours away from Manchester, New Hampshire and laureen (the updated photo) looks like a woman that came into the store last year while I was a cashier. The only reason I remember her so well because the man she was with was nasty to me and she kind of hid behind him with her arm crossed holding her other arm silently. She didn’t even have a purse on her. I thought it was really strange that she was so much older and standing next to him almost like a kid would and when I purposely ignored him to tell her I hope SHE has a good day she just stared at me blankly and just nervously looked back at him like she was afraid to say anything to me.
He mumbled something like he wanted to bash my head in after I did that as he was walking away with her and his groceries. The whole interaction was weird and uncomfortable so it never really left my mind. I assumed it must be an abusive relationship with how nasty the man was.
Idk it could be that this woman looked similar to laureen but I’m glad I came across this video..
