I strongly recommend: The Ascent (Review)

The cosmodrome is my favorite ares. Well the gate that leads to it and the cosmodrome all combined. Seeing all the ships docked and maintenance crews working on unbelievably huge titans of a ship with detail in every centimeter blew my mind. Oh and getting lost imagining if we will get to this point for mankind where everything is high tech but neglected do to its sheer size and complex politics. The check in area to security was full of abandoned luggage and trash from most likely millions of people just looking for a new start just to be chained down by mega a corps for life. This game is a damn good ride mixed with weapons grade awsome!

100% on point! Just finished it and it was a BLAST! The best part is the world, the lore, the lived-in feeling, it's just amazing. If you are even remotely interested in the Cyberpunk or sci-fi genres, give this a go, absolutely!
My only real complain about this game; I need more of it! MUCH MORE!

This reminds me a lot of Alien Swarm, I don't know if anybody remembers that game. It was a free Valve game but probably the best free game I ever played. This looks like a lot of fun too, I may have to bite.

I just started it, waited for the physical edition on PS5, and it's fantastic. One of the best looking game I've ever played and also way harder and complex that i thought it would be.

So happy this got a physical release on PS5 and the steelbook case is beautiful. Loving the Cyber Heist expansion, but that Love Kills side mission, damn dude...

I hope they make the sequel they were setting up for in the end credit scene.

I just hope it’s as good as this badass game and hopefully the company can make a sequel to The Ascent after that FPS game they are working.🙏🏽

soo full of lies...i bought the game on ps5....the game is unplayable there is no aim sensitivity and by default the sensitivity is very high, the auto aim is not working ...not to mention that the game is full of bugs ...all this reviews were paid ..and dissapointingly even yours skill up....all the ppl are saying that the game is full of bugs

Still no button remap on controller but damn this games fun. Got two non gamer friends playing this game. The couch is king again!

Really unsure if to get this on the PS4 or wait that i upgrade to a better PC cos I'm not sure this will run well on my gaming laptop with a gtx 970m

Nearly 2 years since this "glowing" review, and I'm having a game ending bug on PS5. Buggiest game I've ever played. Over halfway through and quitting. Glad I didnt pay full price the developers don't deserve it. F*** this stupid a** game.

I just beat this badass game on PS5 (base game) got 93% of the 🏆 and this game is way better than cyberpunk 2077 imo. 🤷🏽‍♂️

The scenarios look amazing! Even today, 1y later! These scenarios with Aliens dark decent plot and gameplay would make a (another) blasting game!

This is the review I was looking for. I can't recall ever playing twin stick shooters but its on ps plus. The art style immediately caught my attention and I was hoping it wasn't shite.

The "ADS" also increases the rate at which enemy stagger bars fill up. It is explained as a tip in the very early part of the game.

Playing Ascent on PS5 graphically it's amazing, the mood is dark and the gameplay is literally a blast. This game toatally surprised me!!!

Id also like to callout how the game uses your playstation controlers speaker alot, I love it when games do that, adds to my immersion.

I'm playing this right now. Loving it. It's gorgeous and fun but he's right, navigation suuuuucks! Even with two different modes of fast travel you spend way too much time walking. I guess they thought the beauty of the world would justify all the downtime (and it almost does) but it's just too much of it for my taste.

I loved the game but they totally could of went deeper on the ARPG side of things without sacrificing the twin stick elements, they should of went with procedural generation for loot, maps, mobs and bosses, there should of been way more variety, content and endgame, a RNG and rarity based loot system for weapons, tacticals, armor, augmentations and modules, and an adventure mode like endgame system with an endgame progression system and their own versions of rifts and greater rifts, all of this with the amazing twin stick mechanics would have been so much better, great game but lost potential to be one of the best indie ARPGs ever made

ALL OF THE MONEY??!! YES YES ALL OF THE MONEY!!!! 😂🤣 Im on a PS5. this game is just freekin Awesome with the amount of detail it has. Kudos to the game developers on adding so much detail for an awesome game. Although it has its bugs you can just tell that whoever built this loves video games and took the time with so much detail.

Downloaded this a few days ago and I love it

Unfortunately 3 years later even at 1080p the game still has fps drops from 90 to less then 30fps with less then 70% gpu use.

Could V ( Cyberpunk 2077 ) survive Veles? 🤣
