I own a Universal White Shadow Gold with textured gray dial ❤❤❤❤ absolutely love it!
Just got a Maurice Lacroix Ellipse from the 1990s which is old new stock…. amazingly thin
If you ever want to sell the blue one hmu, definitely my dream (dress-) watch :D
ОтветитьMan.. I’m now really obsessed with the shadow line. Loved the design of Patek’s ellipse. It’s not a common taste I think but, as a watch enthusiast I don’t really care about other peoples perspectives. Thanks again for the great video!
ОтветитьOmega Speedmaster. Gift to myself when I became an Airline Pilot.
ОтветитьThe White Shadow is an example of stunning design language. Perfect on so many counts. It doesn't have a bad angle.
Ответитьdo you still have the White Shadow - white dial Roman numerals? I have been looking for this configuration on the strap for a while and have had no luckk
ОтветитьHello, any idea What the 1980 inscription signifies on the case back? I've seen it on another one on sale on eBay.
ОтветитьThe human experience is in the watches of the heart❤.
ОтветитьHello TGV! Loved the video so much it has inspired me to hunt down one of these Shadows. I'm looking at one right now that seems to tick all the boxes but I notice it has a link in the bracelet (where the bracelet meets the case) that is either broken or missing. Looking at your example it seems to have a similar "missing link" inbetween the 11 and 12 indices. Do you happen to know if something like this is due to damage or did they came this way from the factory?
ОтветитьLoved this video. But I don’t think the good ones are under $1000 anymore? Maybe I’m late to the party once again? 😂
ОтветитьYou mentioned an Italian forum with a deep dive on the 2-66 movement. I’ve been looking for more information on that movement. Can you share a link?
ОтветитьI fully shared in your joy. :)
ОтветитьWatch videos don't get any better than this one...
ОтветитьTGV, Gracias! I have been watching you and Marc for the last three weeks and its motivated me to break out my collection. I had put away my mostly Rado collection but looking to add a few more models. Gracias!
ОтветитьHi there ! I am a big fan of yours and think i share a similar passion for UG as you do. I noticed that this white shadow had a 1980 engraving on the case back. Do you happen to know why that is ? Thanks
ОтветитьTo be honest, it's more feminine than masculine, but contento tu, contenti tutti! 😅
Yeah, sell the one on strap and keep the one with integrated bracelet, you'll be happy for sure!
Ciao!
I love this camera orientation reminds me of the New York days!
ОтветитьThank you for all your amazing content! I would have never known this incredible history if not for your passion for watches. Side note: I vote for keeping the blue dial, the white is amazing but that blue dialed piece is ridiculously awesome!
ОтветитьMany of these high end watches look like $300 watches from 6 feet away. Royal Oak,,, you have to pick it up and read the name . many $500 Seikos look better and DONT NEED SERVICING at $900 a time.
I had a brand new watch that cost more than my car, it got water inside it and cost $450 to fix it and i sold it
This guy looks like the IB associate that never got promoted…
ОтветитьWibble
ОтветитьAmazing story!
ОтветитьUniversal Jeneve is my favorite brand vintage brand that i never wear 🤪 , i am a tall dude with BIG wrist....you won't believe how many times i was sitting down at the desk and my tears was dropped on a beautiful UJ piece that looked like girl's watch on my wrists...😭
ОтветитьLooks like dollar store crap
ОтветитьCasio duro the best price quality watch ever, thank me later
ОтветитьI'll buy the Roman! What a beautiful pair of watches. Te felicito.
Ответить"...there's a waiting list..." shows a clip of sheeps. Brilliant.
ОтветитьQuale dei due mi vendi?😅
ОтветитьWhite Shad is beaut
ОтветитьI missed out on a white shadow earlier in the year. It's one that got away and I'm still kicking myself. Then again, so many watches in the world... Great video TGV. As always.
ОтветитьGreat video. Beautiful watch. You could just 'dive into' that blue..
ОтветитьThank you for another great video mate. I enjoyed every second. Please keep it coming.
ОтветитьWow these are affordable
ОтветитьWHERE IS THE PLASTIC FAKE ROLEX SUBMARINER CHINA ! !
GIVE SWATCH A RUN FOR THERE MONEY. How about that idea
Video on point as usual SIR
ОтветитьBtw TGV I interested in hearing your opinion about the aqua terra
ОтветитьIf we beat inflation and some prosperity lies ahead, then dress watches will be trendy. Good show!
ОтветитьF**k keep it both 👍🏼
ОтветитьTGV, I was never interested in the Golden Ellipse, but the White Shadow on the mesh bracelet is stunning!
ОтветитьYou have “the illness”. My friend….Talk to knive collectors they have it too……..the Vintage Virus has bit my obsession for watches lately
ОтветитьKeep the blue one!
ОтветитьAnother horological history feast 😊
For me, the white dial is just a class above. It will never look dated or out of place. It is, frankly, a design classic that needs to be preserved in a museum.
As for trends, I think dress watches are a while off from being on point which is another great reason to have them and keep some semblance of individuality from the masses.
sell the white roman numeral one and sell it to me. been stalking that one on ebay for ever and i can't seem to catch one. great video as always TGV.
ОтветитьTristano, tu sei un ergastolano e l'unica cosa che ti interessa sono i soldi e non i rapporti con le persone…. ti sei rivelato uno schianto
ОтветитьTough call, TGV! Your new white shadow has been growing on me as the video progressed, to the point that I might ever so slightly prefer that one over your older one. In my opinion, it might look slightly more refined and exclusive... but it's very close.
ОтветитьCerto che devi vendere il white shadow con numeri romani.... a me 😅. Great pieces, watches and video alike
ОтветитьA contender for the thinnest automatic movement might also be Frederic Piguet, at 2.35mm with an off-center rotor (FP71 / 716)...
ОтветитьExcellent choice. And yo answer your question, yes,I think the integrated bracelet trend on dress watches is coming back..and I help it with my Quartz Omega Constellation Manhattan from my collection
Ответить
