All those listening to this beautiful, could you pray for us to be opportuned to share the Sheikh's audiance even for once. I am praying daily to share his audiance or to become his student some day. May the Almighty preserve him and team at Zytuna Institute in health, stamina and sound intellect. They represent Islam that I know and have been brought up in. He reminds me of my youthful ages in the remotest parts of Africa.

Its my dream to one day meet Sk. Hamza and I really pray and intend on making the journey to Mauritania and live and learn where Sk. Hamza did.

Actually, Sh. Imran Hosein learned about dinar/dirham and the Islamic monetary system from Sh. Umar Vadillo.

We should appreciate it when a man of knowledge and wisdom shares his opinion with ordinary muslims (the likes of us). ilm is anything that you learn that is beneficial for you in the dunya or the hereafter or both. There is a lot of truth and wisdom in what he said, we should not ignore it. He also talked in a way that all of us can relate to and highlighted issues and gave ideas and solutions to our "poverty".

there is one thing i dont understand ( from my knowledg , so please correct if wrong ) most amazing people are converts. like hamza yusuf , yusuf islam , hamza robertson ( of corse , there are a few non converts ) like native deen , dawude and zain bahicka . but can someone tell me the number of born muslims like hamza yusuf. there are some , i know , but there needs to be more . i wish i could do something , but maby when im older. and when i have more knowledg. im 13 now and really look up to

Hamza Yusuf - what dumb people think an intelligent man sounds like.

I think he glamorizes poverty in this speech in a very inappropriate and insensitive way. Do any of the other speeches address the issues of poverty like hunger, lack of medical care & clean water, child mortality rates. Did any of the other speakers address how the ummah can work to alleviate poverty? I felt H. Yusuf's own spiritual poverty since he barely mentioned God and Quran on feeding the poor & orphans, etc.
