The problem with excessive, indulgent speed while using the same overdriven tone, is it becomes tedious and removes the level of excitement that can occur when speed is used more sparingly for climactical moments in a guitar solo. The other problem is the typical, bullshit harmonic I hear while metal ir fusion players are picking which is so over done, rooted in Van Halen & Steve Vai's style, it creates the monotonous sense that all these metal or quasi fusion players are out of the same shake and bake mix of speed obsessed players more concerned with gymnastics than MUSIC, capiche?😀

You either have what it takes to pick quickly and cleanly or you don't. I have been following your page since you came out and have practiced religiously for several years to get my picking up to speed and blaze up and down the neck and still don't even come close to picking accurately at all. You either have it or you don't and I don't. It is what it is.

Friedman likes using 5-note sequences, also.

I wish I could have seen that 5 note chunk a little slower. Had I been able to play one chunk, I may have been interested to learn more. This lesson could just be over my head though.
