If by Blackbeard dying you mean remove him from the game ... how would that work? Didn't some people pay real-world $$ for the operator? Would they be ok with having something they paid for removed?

They need to reboot the story, catastrophic failure with night haven pewp and then there's subdivisions with rainbow. It's probably too late but if tencent buys and revamps siege. I'd be happy. They need to look at where siege went wrong, adding maestro clash alibi lion etc etc. Need to go back to the drawing board and scrap the rainbow part of siege... iykwim

Doubt they will kill off a character due to all the paid content but who knows. Probably just a gadget change

What most likely happened is that whoever is the new big bad took over the Keres Legion after Deimo was captured and probably shot Blackbeard in the head through his shield with the anti-Rook armor rounds they have. Blackbeard survived by losing an eye and was badly injured. After experiencing that he most likely requested a new gadget since he could no longer rely on his old shield.

He will be receiving a shield like Monty with a see through glass from his shoulder and will be able to bash through barricades like castles,kibas and SOFT WALLS.

With the goggles and the ROS card I think he will be injured and then train his replacement making them the new Blackbeard

im glad were finally getting it but it shouldn't be in place of a new operator we should still get a new operator and it sucks that as the game gets more popular they get lazier and release less and less content.

I feel like the "death" of Blackbeard is symbolism. Meaning death of an era I.E death of his shield. I feel like they will completely rework him in some way to make him play more of a support role than he already does. He will obviously still have some type of shield as that was always a part of him. The only thing I could think that this rework could be would be osas whole gadget thing but she is already a character so I have no idea

I find it hard to believe that they would kill off Blackbeard because the person he was inspired by died in the line of duty. I feel that would be pretty controversial.

The thing is, we know that face shield couldn’t have been used in a recent operation, bc Blackbeard already gave his last one to mira, which means either this is from an old battle where Blackbeard barely survived, hence why mira made him a new gadget, or this is from one of mira’s tests, or most likely, this is just a piece of promotional artwork

he will have a shield and can breach soft walls castle barricades kiba barriers and deployable shields. apparently works as a regular shield too as well as perhaps having another ability.

It could also be that he becomes blinded in one eye. The face shield slowed the bullet down, the goggles slow the bullet down too, enough to stop a headshot but not enough to stop blindness in the left eye. So idk he has a special left eye now, or he gets a better shield with of some kind of "lesson learned" being his missing eye.

My theory, he got hit during an operation by a large caliber weapon. It penetrated both his shield and his goggles but slowed enough to injure him without killing him. Because of this he went to Mira to have her design a new stronger type of protection for him.

that card could be a reference to the Death tarot card, which is typically marked with a skeleton or skull. "The Death card signals that one major phase in your life is ending, and a new one is going to start." It COULD literaly mean death, but doesn't have to. Just a finality and a new beginning.

I saw a leak on the internet, his getting kraken. He can spawn it anywhere on the map and completely destory the opponents and the building. I think it's pretty op. UBI finally did him right.

If it's anything other than the harpoon gun concept, I will be massively disappointed.
