I get where you're analysis is coming from but in so many problems which rachel was facing you kept on saying that " its normal", " it happens" ," should've known " ," happened to this person and that person as well", that sounds like ur saying that people should just deal with it as its quite normal even if its wrong.. that was very non empathetic. People dont always know that they are gonna get mistreated or " what they signed up for" when the contract clearly didnt state mental harassment or isolation . U said that if the contract didnt state that she'll get a hair and makeup artist or everyday food then she shouldve expected from the get go that she would have to take care of it herself , which is valid even tho its pathetic but then what about the payment which she didnt receieve monthly? That was also written in the contract? What about the body shaming she faced .. was that also written in the contract? Ur way of talking feels like what rachel experienced was very normal and no big deal so instead of helping her spread awareness about the toxic companies u normalise the toxicity. Not what i expected from you but oh well.

I is a job contract. Some company have free meal in the canteen, some only provides coffee machine. Although you are a queen, it is not like you are actually become sovereign. There are 100% miscommunication on both side but to me most of what she complains on her videos felt like listening to a spoiled kids who never do anything by herself.

Yesterday, Mr. Nawat and his team have come out to speak. What Rachel and Mr. Nawat said were very different. I think you guys should listen to both sides before making a decision. Mr. Nawat and his team have evidence ready to show, such as chats that Rachel had with various people in the organization. Mr. Naway said that he kick her out...she is not resign.
This is what I heard from the statement from Mr. Nawat and his team.
1. Rachel has committed several corporate violations and has been a problem for the organization.
2. Rachel refused to fly to work even though the staff bought her a business class ticket because she wanted to get more money. If she didn't get it, she wouldn't go to work.
3. The team kept asking about the food, but Rachel herself told the team not to provide it because her mother had ordered the food from the Indian community in Thailand and they would deliver it every day.
4. Rachel said the accommodation did not have cooking facilities, even though she chose to stay at Miss Grand House, which is very luxurious, has a fitness center, a kitchen, and everything.
5. Mr. Nawat has a driver and a maid who comes to clean every 3 days. However, Rachel said that she wanted the maid to come every other day because she didn't want to use the same towels repeatedly. She had to use one towel per day. So the team solved the problem by buying several towels and leaving them in the basket after using them. Then the maid came to collect them and wash them.
6. Rachel took on outside work without informing the organization, even though she had already signed a contract stating that she could not take on outside work.
7. Rachel lied about her age. Her real age on her passport is very different from her age on the contest pageant.
8. Regarding Rachel's missing money, the organization checked the surveillance cameras and found nothing unusual. Only the cleaning lady went in to clean it, and no one believed it was missing. If someone were to steal money, they would have taken it all. They wouldn't have left $700. It doesn't make sense.
9. Rachel lied that she had studied abroad, but when Mr. Nawat asked her to apply for a visa in that country, it would be convenient for her to fly to work in the future... because if someone had really studied in that country, applying for a visa again would be easy. But Rachel never had a visa for the country she claimed to have studied in.
10. Rachel had boobs job but didn't tell the team, which she was supposed to. The team and stylist knew because her breast size had changed, so they had to change the size of her entire outfit... They tried to ask Rachel but she keep lying and wouldn't tell anyone. She lied that she just had eaten too much protein, which is why her breasts were so big.
11. Rachel refused to pay income tax. She told Mr. Nawat that she didn't want to pay tax and when Mr. Nawat paid cash, Rachel refused to accept it. Instead, she asked Mr. Nawat to transfer the money into her account in India, which Mr. Nawat said okay, but Rachel had to pay the transfer fee herself because the transfer fee to India was very expensive and this part had nothing to do with the organization. However, Rachel refused to pay, so they argued.
12. There was one job where Rachel had to go to India with Mr. Nawat, Ms. Teresa and 3 staff members. However, Rachel told them to take 2 staff members off because she was going to take a makeup artist from Thailand. She claimed that she did not trust the Indian makeup artist's makeup skills. When Mr. Nawat said no, the team must have 3 people and that was the only quota for airfare, Rachel ordered Mr. Nawat to take 2 more Thai makeup artists and forced the organization to pay for the makeup artists' airfare.
13. Rachel said that the new ND of India did not take good care of her, even though he gave her a five-star hotel room, provided her with a convertible with a driver, and held a press conference for her.
14. Mr. Nawat said that Rachel likes to be a boss, likes to act noble, and doesn't want to work hard, which is very different from previous queens. Previous queens, such as Luciana from Peru, she was very lovely, always ready to travel for work. She did her own makeup and took good care of herself. Queen Isabella from Brazil is the same. But Rachel cannot take care of herself at all and she doesn't want to.
15. The last country Rachel worked in, she caused trouble. (I forgot which country) The ND of that country complained that she was constantly asking for a makeup artist, even when going to the supermarket or just to eat. She asked for a makeup artist every day, which was not in the contract, and the ND had to pay extra.
16. Rachel wrote a list of requests for money from the organization randomly as she wanted, which Mr. Nawat said that he could pay, but he had to have receipts to prove it because this is a public organization with shareholders and every baht belongs to the shareholders, so when requesting money, there must be proof. But she didn't have any... She requested for money from the airport lounge even though the organization bought her a business class ticket and there was a lounge in there already, and she didn't use it. She requested for transfer fees, which the company paid for. She requested for coffee, taxi fare, and other things, but she didn't have any proof at all. And she asked for $4000 for those things.
17. Rachel loads a crown under the plane which is very valuable, which everyone is very concerned about. She lies that the crown is very valuable and she doesn't want to keep it with her, which many people think she is just too lazy to carry.
18. Mr. Nawat said that Rachel demanded a pay raise, which Rachel thought she should get, and if she didn't get it, she would protest by not going to work.
19. When she went to work in Korea, she was sponsored by a beauty clinic who paid her to go to work. But Rachel told the team to find a way to contact Korean artists because she wanted to take pictures with Korean artists. It was like she thought of herself as a high-ranking superstar. In principle, she should have used this time to work for the clients who sponsored her and paid her. It was inappropriate to go to Korean artists to take pictures.
20. Mr. Nawat said that Rachel bought followers on Instagram.
21. Rachel said that her whole family are a doctors. The team said they don't even know if it's true. The organization has never checked and has never visited her house. They are not sure because in many things she lies.
22. Rachel looked down on the organization's products as being cheap and of poor quality. Rachel didn't want to sell products even though the organization had made it clear from the beginning that it was an organization that focused on selling products. Rachel brought dried mangoes to present to Mr. Nawat that her dried mangoes were cheap and she wanted to make it and sell with Miss Grand organization While the competition was taking place, the whole world saw this on video. And if she didn't want to sell her products, she shouldn't have entered the contest in the first place because previous queens had done it, which everyone had already seen. If you don't want to sell products, you don't have to enter the beauty contest.
23. This is what I heard from the video that Mr. Nawat and the team made a statement, so I typed it in English for the international fans to know as well. Soon, there will be foreigners who understand Thai and hear Mr.Nawat speak. They will probably come out and make a video in English soon.

Even a basic thing like food needs to be checked in the contract? Isn't that an obvious thing for an organization to provide to her queen. So now may be in future if a queen goes through some sexual harrasment or mental torture you guys will be like "Did you read whether your safety will be taken care by the org" And then signed the papers???

Dani I have been following you since so long and this is for the first time I didn't like your perspective towards something so serious because its not just MGI, it is going to affect every single girl who is a pageant aspirant.

Rachel stated that the member of MGI staff brought up about her weight and “body shaming” her by pinching her. In the same breath she complained about MGI didn’t provide enough food for her. Rachel’s statements are conflicting with one and another. She didn’t look like a starving queen when she stood next to the current Miss. Universe while both were in Thailand.

This woman sounds like Nawat’s mouthpiece. Even though some of Nawat’s intentions were in the open, Racheal’s point about basic amenities - NOBODY could have expected that. She is the QUEEN who EARNED the crown and the benefits that come with it, she should have been treated with more dignity and consideration

It has become evident that the environment surrounding Miss Grand International is toxic, unhealthy, and fundamentally incompatible with the growth and dignity of the very women it claims to uplift.

Even more troubling is the revelation that some of the same individuals associated with these issues are now involved in organizing Miss Universe 2025. This should serve as a wake-up call.

It is time for women—especially those with dreams of pageantry—to rise, use their voices, and stand united. We must reject this shallow, performative rhetoric disguised as empowerment and demand more from organizations that claim to represent us.

Pageantry should be a platform for real empowerment, not performative pageants that exploit and undermine the very essence of womanhood. Let us move forward with purpose, dignity, and strength.

This was a very disappointing video Dani. I think food and secured shelter shouldn't be contractual obligations, but basic necessities. I do wish that you review Rachel's claims and make a second video with in depth commentary.

I don’t take sides neither with her nor with Nawat or MGI. But YOU, Dani Walker, said that if basic amenities need to be included in the contract, when they’re not in the contract, you said you "believe the organization is not obligated to provide them." That sounds like gaslighting basic common sense , especially in the context of a competition and for the winner. This is particularly concerning for foreigners in a country where they don’t know anyone or anything. Basic safety and access to essential living conditions should be a given. People like you come off as toxic when you use the contract as an excuse to ignore what should be universally understood standards. I do feel bad for Rachel, but honestly, she should’ve done a bit of research or looked into the organisation’s track record before joining MGI. There’s clearly a lot of drama surrounding the pageant, especially involving the owners and past queens. And I totally get what Dani meant when she said it’s unfair like not knowing about the voting stuff or how some countries apparently pay for certain things with MGI.

That being said, I really hope Rachel can find peace of mind after all this and it doesn’t take a toll on her mental health. She’s talented, beautiful, and has so much potential beyond this pageant. MGI being a shitty organization has been proven so many times in the past, which matched so many of Rachel’s complaints. Recently too, Nawat just body shamed Rachel on his stories. Another proof right in our face! SO:

After seeing Nawat's Instagram stories body-shaming Rachel, I believe her 100%. His slimy tactics put pageants in a bad light. Dani, Rachel was not given the opportunity to discuss her contract with her lawyer so basically it was one sided in favour of MGI. She is the responsibility of the organization and her well being should be their priority. You sound like the apologist for Nawat and MGI. This organization should be banned. I live not far from that area, so I can explain to you. It is the area of rich people with huge village and compound. The houses are around 300-700 sqm. So, I don’t believe it is bad condition to live. Nearby there are Mega Bangna and Central Bangna … with all well known shops. The distance is around 30-45 minutes to Sukhumvit area which is considered Financial district by car. Around the area, there are lots of vegetarian restaurants for Korean, Japanese, Indian and Thai…. In side her compound there is gym and swimming pool….

So, I don’t understand why she said so…. It was not really same experience like other people and other queens. And surprisingly lots of Beaty fan believe her without checking what is true, what is reality!

1.change surgery appointment just for she late and need very special treats from hospital so they have to change all plan for other patients.. just for her.
2. asked hospital to do FREE surgery for her mum and sister and told them will post promote for surgery hospital but never see those post til hospital push MGI to ask her to do something... she posted and deleted within short time.
3. She actually got a free room from a nice hotel in a good spot in the busy area in bkk but she denied and need somewhere quiet then they send her to MGI Home.

I guess what Rachel meant about not aware of the vote wasnt exactly the 'real vote' system, but rather, some national directors literally give huge amount of money as they then reffered as 'donation'. Rachel did mention that she doesnt have access to huge amount of money to be just given to the organisation, in addition, that money doesnt guarantee anything. Some news mentioned that Nawat asked Myamnar ND 30000 USD on the final night. So that practice that maybe she was referring to.

Even setting the contract aside, she took advantage of her position as the titleholder to bring her mother and sister to Korea, where they approached the sponsor to request free cosmetic surgery without informing the organization. This behavior is considered highly inappropriate. If she was bold enough to do that, it wouldn’t be surprising if she had done other things behind the scenes too.

I saw and read the exchange of emails between Rachel and MGI. I think Rachel did breach her contract. I'm not saying I'm a fan of Nawat and his live tiktok selling but Rachel did some unauthorized actions like the treatment for her sister and mother and her appearance in India with the MGI crown. I think it is automatic if you win the international pageant, you are no longer under the contract of your national pageant. And she also did ask for payment but would not like to pay the taxes along with it. She is quite shady, I think. Bringing in her list of complaints the former MGI from Dominican Republic, who did resign, does not also add up because it was not her experience.

So as an advice to future candidates, choose your pageants wisely.
