Understanding that 56-66 is talking about the millennial kingdom (New Jerusalem) makes those chapters a lot more clear. Chapter 56 specifically had me struggling for a while.

The "servant" is referring to Israel, not a messiah 49:3 He said to Me, "You are my servant, Israel, In Whom I will show my glory" It is not about a messiah and the Jewish people of that time didn't read it as a prophecy. Also 2 Isaiah (40-55) was written in the 6th century by a completely different author.
