Byzantine use to employ actual vikings forgor the famous name of one company
But a viking helmet would work too
Hey man great figs wanted to ask if there’s anyway I can send you pics of the figures I’ve made from the dragon born ???
ОтветитьWhat about the helmets from the Prince of Persia sets? Not 100% accurate, but IMO closer than the Vikings helm.
ОтветитьHISTORY!!!!!
Ответитьbrickwarriors have a byzantine helmet mold
ОтветитьI've decided I hate the word coif
Ответитьlove the concept!
ОтветитьMy first thought on the Dragonborn paladin is Hylian from Zelda Breath of the Wild.
ОтветитьAwesome looking figs!
Ответитьmy 7th grade history teacher would be proud
ОтветитьLove it
ОтветитьFor the Byzantine soldiers. You could use the helmet from Prince of Persia.
ОтветитьI just wish LEGO leaned more into history sometimes. I'm a sucker for anything roman army, but the only 2 figs that can work as roman were CMF and go for a gaijillion dollars on the aftermarket...
ОтветитьVery nice, now let's see Sultan Mehmed II's army
ОтветитьThe byzantine soldiers have that lannister esthetic. Real nice Drip
ОтветитьHave you looked at the lake town guard helmets from the hobbit sets? Not perfect, and might lean a little more arabic than byzantine, but it is an option
ОтветитьFun fact: The great helm is also called a bucket helm
ОтветитьYou could use a prince of Persia helmet
ОтветитьAnother Banger from @Goldfyre
ОтветитьThis Video resonates with me as I've been trying to make a Western Frank Army from the 9th Century.
Ответитьthis is so cool
i love it
Interesting builds. Definitely going to have to acquire some of these parts.
I see someone has been watching Princess Mononoke. 😊
hey goldfyre I am making a lego elvin army and i'm using the dragon knight from the new cmf with lady thor's helmet it makes a good combo you should try it
ОтветитьI cant find the d&d cmfs at any store near me and im so frustrated... Had to ebay a tasha and pay a little extra
ОтветитьI feel like he blurred out the background more so that we can't see what he is watching.
ОтветитьSomeone tell Shadiversity
ОтветитьNeeda make a store.
ОтветитьYES! It feels so good and refreshing to finally see a fellow history enthusiast! Thank you for this video, brother
ОтветитьGoldfyre, making unassuming Harry Potter figures expensive since 2024 ;)
Those are some sick looking custom figs and I love the realism. I hope you didn't get a sponsorship deal from those custom parts and figs websites, as I think they're a bit outside of my price range.
Best part of the Harry Potter knight that you made is you can swap out that plume with a different color, give it a shield and cloak/half-cloak, and you instantly have a knight with a different faction or heraldry. Good for a tournament knight or “knights of the round table” situation.
ОтветитьI wish you had made a Cataphractarii for your Byzantine soldiers
ОтветитьI have already spent so much time drawing and 3D printing lego compatible medieval weapons and armour for a wargame i'm making
Ответитьmeaby piece 88284 Headgear Helmet Persian would work ?
ОтветитьHEY!?! the empirer constantstine the 4th needs your help assemble the trebuchet, ride your mercenaries into the town center fight in the name of the holy land with the new lego crusaids
ОтветитьIf you turn around the red dragon torso you can make a brigandine
Ответить한국엔 픽어브릭 서비스가 없답니다..😢
ОтветитьIdk why I think of the Lannister when I see the thumbnail.
ОтветитьHistorically accurate ish. Lol WTF! The ish basically disproves the historically accurate statement is like saying something is sort of true, this means it isn’t true but seems like it could be! So it’s a lie then????
ОтветитьThe "Helmet Castle with Chin Guard", like the one on the first figure in the video, might work if you can get them in a fitting color, as it could stand in for conical and Phrygian helmets with mail coifs that the Byzantines wore in the 10th to 14th Century. Especially neat since you can use them as a substitute for printed mail coifs on the heads.
The "Helmet Castle with Neck Protector" could also work, even if the nose guard looks more Norman than Byzantine, but it would be a good fit for some helmets that were worn by Byzantine Skoutatoi around the 10th to 11th century.
For the Byzantine guys you could give them nasal helms and axes, there was a unit I've forgotten the name of that were like this
ОтветитьByzantines have used western style arms and armor especially in the late middle ages. Going straigh to lamellar isn't really necessary. As others have pointed out a simple conical helm and mail coif can work best.
The legs with the straps look better, those are called "pteruges" btw.
The dragonborn torso looks really good, but having a hounskull would be a more historically accurate helmet
ОтветитьW video.
ОтветитьThat's pretty cool but I do love medieval history myself alot
ОтветитьMake a Muslim Lego army
🙏
The biztene was the😢east of the Roman Empire
ОтветитьYou can actually make very historically accurate byzantine skutatoi (standard byzantine infantry) by using the same torso and the legs of the queen from the lion knights castle. You can also use the legs from the tax collector of the medieval town square. Byzantine infantry usually wore skirts with light coloured boots. They would also mainly use spears and kite shields that were sometimes painted. For the helmet you can use the standard lego knight helmet with the nose protection or prince of persia helmets.
ОтветитьExcellent video, more of these please!
