Some of the differances in tools are hidden, like better bearings and electrics to protect the tool. Also, better and stronger plastics go into the more expensive tooling (usually) though not always.
Gearing of various tools is also important, as one make of drill might be too fast for a job, but a different make of tool for the same job will be better at it.
Any tool you find adequate for the job is a good tool, regardless of price or make. That's why you will most likely end up with a mixture of makes for the actual tools you buy, spread between a lot of variation of the different prices. I know I have.
A 40v makita chuckless will rip your skin off. Buying makita from screw fix will rip your wallet off ! Lol
ОтветитьWhat do you think about the Einhell tools?
ОтветитьI've said it before, Erbauer are like the Skoda's of tools. No one wants to buy one but once they do, they realise they have all the same tech, features and durability of the flash brands yet they are half the price. Lad at my work is a milwaukee boy through and through but loves borrowing my Erbauer, it's his guilty pleasure.
ОтветитьI think screwfix should have a paper catalogue in their stores..
I do not like using their touchscreen catalogues in their stores.
..
I have not been in a screwfix store since they went to touchscreen catalogues.
...
Why not have an in store only paper catalogue...
Screwfix would still save money.
I use Hikoki (hitachi) always been great for diy , these look ok though
ОтветитьI bought an Erbauer vacuum which while it worked was fine , but after not a lot of use it expired and there were no parts for a repair.
ОтветитьGood video as always, thank you pal. Also cheers to the comments section, some priceless info in there. Can’t rate the feedback highly enough.
ОтветитьI have a full set and my dads has been using DeWalt for over 20 years, he's now slowly replacing what he needs after trying my set, great tools, and they even do a cheap radio!!
ОтветитьI swear by erbauer. Brilliant tools
ОтветитьErbauer tools are quality. I really like them
ОтветитьI'm not in the trade, but I'd say I'm a "heavy DiYer," and the Erbauer stuff has been amazing for me for the last 5 years or so. Only thing I'd prefer is a slightly higher quality speed controller/ switches on drills and impacts. A bit lacking in low-speed control.
But that is literally my only complaint. Everything else is absolutely ace.
Now put them against each other for 6 months and see which ones best.
ОтветитьI Have bought a few Erbauer power toosl over the years and have exceeded all expectations a great piece of kit for DIY and professional alike and good value compared to De-Walt etc whose quality has definately declined over the years . I am definately an Erbauer man and have bought them in preference over others for about 10 years now ..problem is the ones I bought 10 years ago are still going strong and that is a good thing . Erbauer all tye way for me.
ОтветитьAnd just like the Titan tools it's brought back within a year or two with a made up fault just to get a new one 😂
Ответитьsurely you should be torture testing them and seeing how they do long term
ОтветитьI have Erbauer impact driver, 12v drill/driver (excellent). Random Orbit sander, jigsaw, mini vac and circular saw. The only one I have replaced is the circular saw because it's crap. My main tools are all Milwaukee but I would definitely recommend Erbauer especially the drills, impact and sander.
ОтветитьMy sister found an Erbauer impact driver hanging in the middle of a conifer in her garden. No idea how long it had been there. A bit of surface rust on the chuck and belt hanger and had obviously been well used. She gave it to me, I bought a charger and it charged up and worked fine. I have driven many many concrete screws and long timber screws and run it all day on it's original 2Ah battery. 4 years later and it's still going strong.
I bought the circular saw though and it's crap. Lacks power.
I bought a battery chainsaw and mains chainsaw Titan from screw fix. Great tools at an excellent price.
ОтветитьAll my tools are erbauer...have a battery drill had it for 12 years....still working.....just bought another drill and impact driver....brilliant...
Ответитьidentify your stolen tools with TooliNumber
ОтветитьCheap tools from SF or those discount stores are what you want. If your a pro you're gonna lose stuff and you ain't got time to go back for it.
ОтветитьHaha, loved it when you said "And again we're gonna use a high quality blade, because we don't want the blade to be the issue", when loading up the multi-tool.
Which if you have ever used Erbauer multi-tool blades, you know that they WILL be the issue.
For any of the Erbauer tool accessories, if its something that you need for 1 job and its not a demanding job then they are acceptable enough to get you through it for the price point, e.g. I needed an SDS drill bit I think at a 22mm diameter, for drilling a single hole, so no need to pay out for a decent bit, it should be (and was) good enough to do the job without having to pay a fortune.
However, anything more than that one job and yeah, Erbauers cheap Chinese steel really doesn't hold up to much hammer at all, especially the multi-tool blades, they are garbage.
Nice to see that the power-tools are holding up quite well to more demanding tasks that a DIYer might need them for, but it is worth noting that whilst the 40v Makita tools might be double the price, based on the prices you gave for the Erbauer tools, Im pretty sure that a lot of my Makita 18v's were only around £20-£30 more and I know I can trust them to stand up to very demanding tasks for many years.
Infact I have only ever broken one tool and that was when I dropped my impact driver off of the top of scaffolding, which was £100, then when I tried to buy a replacement it had been discontinued for a newer model which had gone up in price to £135, ordered it twice and it didnt arrive either time which I suspect was due to that one also being discontinued for the new model released at the start of the year, so I ended up having to buy that one at £220 o_O which yeah..... that still hurts haha.
As a pro user Erbauer are shit.
ОтветитьI used to buy erbauer workwear back in like 2010, was quality stuff back then, never knew til today they were owned by screwfix.
Ответитьpointless vs, admit it its an ad
ОтветитьErgonomical isn’t a word.
ОтветитьAbsolutely love Erbauer, started with the drill pack the recently bought a tracksaw, multi tool and 2nd fix nail gun, absolute brilliant quality for the price.
ОтветитьWhere did you get the stack pack for £109? It's £139 on Screwfix website today.
ОтветитьIm right handed and prefer a right blade saw - I feel safer - however that may be a noobie preference.
ОтветитьWhere does Screwfix's Titan tools sit compared to Parkside and the rest of the bottom range in your opinion mate?
ОтветитьI bought some Erbauer kit from B&Q when I went back to the UK to renovate a kitchen and bathroom in my rental.
Really good value imo.
Took it all back to Aus and still use it today.
I have most of the Erbauer brushless power tools with the 5amp batteries. I have been using them regularly for a number of years with no issues. I got the stack storage system last year on offer for £80 which I thought was a bargain. For the home DIYer, I feel you cannot go wrong with these brand of tools. The 5amp batteries make a big difference.
ОтветитьAs an electrician I chase out a lot of walls using SDS drills. I'd burnt out 2 bosch and 1 Makita cordless SDS units before I tried the erbauer version. I've had it now for 4 years without any problems at all. I don't know if that's just lucky or a testament to the erbauer level of quality but I won't be looking to go back to paying 2-3 times the cost anytime soon...
ОтветитьYou didn't mention Erbauer tools are twice as noisy as Makita, especially the impact driver
ОтветитьHave the same drill/impact set. I use the impact driver to undo wheel nuts on my car.😂 batteries last for ever before charging.
ОтветитьIt would of been nice to see a battery comparison between Erbauer and the other top brands.
ОтветитьErbauer tools are very good, but I can't say same about they batteries. There is screwfix forum topic about that, just google erbauer leaking battery. I lost 3 batteries due to that issue. I contacted screwfix, only distributor, but on the end of the day they refuse any repair, refund or replacement.
ОтветитьI've had makita stuff and been happy with them, as a joiner since 1987.
Worst stuff I've had was that was meant to be quality was hatachi.
Dewalt are good for chops saws..
Why the higher voltage?
ОтветитьGreat explanation of these Erbauer kit and I just entered competition which I never knew about. What a great prize for the DIY'ers, like me, fingers crossed, thanks.
ОтветитьAll my cordless tools are Erbauer and they serve me amazingly as a carpenter & joiner. Recently purchased their new battery framing nailer and I cannot wait to put it through its paces as I have done with all the others!
ОтветитьThe Erbauer stuff comes with a 2 year warranty, granted it's a pain but if it goes bang take it back and get a new one. Never had a problem with Screwfix for honouring warranty claims.
ОтветитьI've owned most of the big brands including Erbauer, nothing has lasted as long as Milwaukee
ОтветитьGot an Erbauer router had it 15 years now still going strong, not as robust as my skill circular hand saw 30 yrs old still cuts well with decent blade.😊
ОтветитьI have the Erbauer 1500 watt 240V SDS drill and it’s an absolute monster. I’m only a DIYer, but I’ve used it to drill through exterior walls and it smashes it.
ОтветитьHow much was the full set?
I may have missed it in the video 🫣🤔
People underestimate erbauer tools. They are good quality well built and last yonks. I have a couple of their tools and been fantastic and great value compared to some leading brands. I also own some higher end brands that really don't live upto the hype compared to erbauer. I highly recommended this brand. Don't be a TOOL tart 😂😂
ОтветитьHow can you do a comparison when erbauer are 18v and makita are 40v
Ответить
