My daughter, lets her chickens, free range, during the daytime & roost, in the chicken house, at night bc of predators. She gave me eggs, until they start to molt. Those eggs are superior, to store bought eggs, imo.😊🎉

Pure chicken poop is amazing fertilizer. They cluck incessantly but that's only because they've laid. And believe me you would cluck too if you backed out a bowling ball. )

I live in town & have 15 hens. They have been wonderful ❤️. The only problem I've been having is MICE! Keep that in mind.....

I have a t-shirt that says "I dream of a society where a chicken can cross the road without its motives questioned." I currently have 14 chickens and sell the eggs to colleagues. They have never had better. My girls are spoiled with "treat trays" every feeding which includes table scraps, fresh fruit from my trees, homemade bread, and green veggies. I find that celery tends to lend a rich flavor to the eggs. I started watching you because of your passion fruit (I was looking for a recipe for jam), then found more posts from you including the chickens. Your sense of humor is delightful. I have several acres in Southern California, yet believe that your Aussie ways can work here, too. If I didn't live in SoCal, I'd live in Australia. Been there once, but miss it all the same. Thank you for your posts. I just found you and can't wait to see more.

We currently have 5 hens for our family of 4. Its too many eggs for us so I give some to my Dad or Brother when they run out. We dont even get 5 eggs a day and we still have too many. They free range during the day and get some bought food as well. I love my chickens, they're entertaining.

I bought 10 chickens at tractor supply 😅 they turn out to be all hens . I got like 40 now from those 10 cause I bought a rooster from the bird house . I love my chickens. Plenty eggs for the whole family and friends.

If I don't keep chickens in the backyard, then it simply means that I'm not having eggs when they get too high. So the Big Chicken conspiracy isn't going to work that well.

We had 4 Rhode Island reds that layed for us for about 5 years and were still laying for the person we gave them to when we moved and couldn't take them with us. They were great for our kids to learn with and their eggs were fantastic. Way better colour and way fresher every day than store bought trash. they kept the garden weed free and provided nutrient rich compost for the vegie patch and lemon tree. And they make the garden look vibrant and alive instead of sterile and dead. Nothing but respect and appreciation for them.

We love our little folk of chickens❣️The fresh eggs are so much better than pale white store eggs.

And actually, garden eggs should be just fine to eat raw - suggestions otherwise are just another scare tactic. Thank you mother nature. Beats factory farming every time.

Thx for this video, great info...great info as well about the experiment where they gave them out to reduce waste....honestly, I think the problems we have in this world have very simple solutions....if people would all just calm the hell down and not be greedy and go back to the basics.

We got 9 chickens 1 rooster and 5 chicks growing, all in a small unit, never knew that we have a limit and might not be allowed a rooster. But all the way around here we have dogs that bark all day all night, didn't think the rooster will be as bad

I live in Honduras and in Texas. In Honduras everyone is poor and keeps chickens. It's never a bad idea to keep chickens, cheap food folks!
