So, it's essentially nothing more than a WiFi enabled ammeter. The app does all the work with simple algorithms, monitoring amp draw.
ОтветитьSo you spend $300 dollars to install a monitor to tell your phone that your electrical devices are on or off. I guess if you can't see the indicator lights on your devices this might be helpful but for $300 dollars I don't think the device will provide enough value to pay for itself.
ОтветитьWhat if there is no free space for another breaker? Can it be connected to a existing breaker?
Ответитьhow can it figure out what devices I am using? It is only monitoring the mains. The electric company can give me all this information.
ОтветитьThis looks like a single phase panel. Does this work on 3-phase panels?
ОтветитьIs there any interference if the clamp leads must be installed through many circuit wires?
ОтветитьWhat if you have 2 service panels?
ОтветитьI have 2 panels side by side in my house - how do I determine if they have "separate service" or if one is a sub panel?
ОтветитьCan I wire this to an already installed 240v circuit in my home?
ОтветитьThis is the easy part. Have fun trying to name the devices, all but impossible along with support.
ОтветитьDoes Sense auto reconnect to your WiFi automatically after short power bleeps or do you have to shut the main breaker off for more than five seconds for it to reconnect to the WiFi signal? We have short but often power bleeps in our area and I'd be in no position to cycle my main breaker off and on every time we encounter power bleeps.
ОтветитьI have a 40 position panel with about 36 positions in use, so it's a lot more crowded than the mock-up you have in the video. You don't show installation with the sense unit external to the panel, but I assume you mount the antenna directly to the sense, and route the wires through a 1/2"? knockout. Do you provide a strain relief for the knockout, or do I just use a romex clamp or something? What is the length of the cables?
ОтветитьShit product. 7 months in still detects squat
Ответитьadd an option to the application where you can remote turn off all the electricity in the house from the cell phone. pay me later for the idea
ОтветитьDoes it available in India?
ОтветитьThe power company web site does the same thing and it's free to use
ОтветитьI already have a 240 V 50 Amp breaker installed for my EV, which takes max 32 Amps. Can I connect the Sense to this breaker rather than install a new breaker?
Ответитьif they ever get this to work properly I'd love to get one.
ОтветитьHi, does it work in malaysia?
Thx.
I find the Sense device, despite its claim for ease of installation, difficult to get working properly. I keep getting repeated errror message saying that the power cable was installed incorrectly; drawing power from the same phase or leg of the electrical panel. This is not possible for a Square-D QO panel with a QO 2-pole circuit breaker. No matter what I try, the error persists. Aside being a useless toy, most AHJ will not allow piggy-back circuits on circuit breakers.
ОтветитьSeems like a really expensive way and a really complicated/ time consuming method (in terms of needing to hire an electrician) to just read your electric bill.
ОтветитьNice setup video.
ОтветитьIf I put this in my subpanel will it still read what's going on in my main panel?
ОтветитьI'm sorry, but did they say this thing needs 240 VAC input? As in, the same voltage for my dryer and stove?
ОтветитьCan I ask who produced this video?
ОтветитьDo you have a video showing installation with solar?
ОтветитьUse a two pole 240V breaker.
Would have saved me multiple trips to the hardware store and a stripped breaker panel cover screw had Sense just stated upfront that you need a 240V double pole breaker.
I have a 240 V plug outside of box next to box that is not being used. Was thinking of just doing that and clamps on wires outside of box above box.
