I just infected with Covid and the asthma coughing is a killing to me. I Hv to take Benadryl in order to stop it. I dunno how long this demonic cough will go away and I worried about the side effects to my body. If I dun take it I dun think I’ll be able to sleep bcos of the cough. I Hv no problem in sleeping if it’s not bcos of the Covid hit.

Lower the dose of the antipsychotic next time and don't mask the neck stiffening which is a symptom of the antipsychotic toxicity.

It gives me restless leg syndrome and not just in my legs. More difficult to urinate. My chest hair follicles hurt when I lay down ro sleep. Does not happen every night. I only take 12.5 mg as I have been reducing it. Probably gives me other problems that I've not linked to the drug.

This is why you can’t just hop on WebMD. On the one hand, Benadryl is great for Parkinson’s. On the other, it’s anticholinergic properties can hurt seniors, who are the biggest sufferers of Parkinson’s. Adding further weight, NyQuil and many other brands sell Diphenhydramine for sleep in high doses forms, and pediatric docs recommend it for sick kids and occasional insomnia all the time.

❤ As an adult over 70. I had been using 1/2 Ibuprofen PM as a sleep aid. Recently, I tried it as a sinus drying out agent in Benadryl. The Diphenhydramine gave me some intensely weird, nightmarish dreams and my balance was WAY off 18 hours later. It is scary stuff. Almost a high but not like a high quality blended indigo. // In the future, from this video and others, I never plan on using Diphenhydramine in any manner, except for awful travel situations …. such as a downtown New York hotel in the winter or someplace in Ohio in most seasons.

This drug is the incarnation of the devil, avoid it at all costs. I was a slave to it for nearly a year taking roughly 800mg sometimes, ive most likely completely fucked over my heart, liver, brain and urinary tract.

I was recently hospitalized because of a Aura Migraine Attack at home. Which I have never had happen before “Scary” well I ended up at the hospital because my vision was blurry from both eyes and I felt weak and was throwing up. At the hospital they gave me Benadryl with a nausea medication. Oh my goodness, as soon as they injected it in my IV I was out. They said your good after 2hrs sent me home and I left so drugged out asleep!! It’s been 5 days after and I still feel out of it?? Like my memory is out and my anxiety levels shooted sky high?!?! Never taking this again !! Horrible experience

I am now 72. I used to take OTC Benedryl to help me sleep. I was having symptoms (side effects) from it although I did not realize this until I ran out of the bottle of Benedryl that I was taking, i SAW SOMETHING SHINY IN THE BOTTOM OF THE BOTTLE (LIKE A TINY ROD). It was then I noticed that the bottle had a large label wrapped around it. The label said that the Benedryl contained of all things ALUMINUM. I ceased taking Benedryl altogehter that day. The symptoms stopped the following day.

I was taking this sleep aid that had 200mg (wasn't benadryl so probably half that number in it's actual effects) of dyphenhydramine for sleep for work and sometimes I would take two. I didn't know all these crazy things about it and took way more than that before. I didn't feel much and no weird changes in my brain function. I didn't drink or take any other drugs so for older people who are used to drinking on a regular basis maybe don't drink as much if you feel the need to take benadryl. The proplem is that alchohol seems to "aid" in lots of peoples sleep also so. Idk but This is what is seems like for me. I can see alcohol and too much benadryl being no good for anyone over an extended period of time.

I've been on it for 15 years. I started with the liquid, now I'm on the pills. I'm down to taking 6 pills at once, as opposed to taking 10+ several times in a day. When I started playing with it I discovered that my desire for alcohol diminished, and that's why I stayed on it. I was on the fast track to dying or causing the death of others with 6 DIU's under my belt. But enough already, I want my life back! I'm 62 and I don't want to leave this life geeked out on this stuff. I feel I'm at a crossroad and have to make a big boy decision on what shape I wanna be in when I check out of this world. Nobody wants to end on a bad note.

I actually slept a bit last night on my own. As far as talking it over with my doctor? Our healthcare for profit system is not supportive of getting drug free.

From about 19-21 I took this almost every night because I wanted it to help me sleep, most of the time it wouldn’t help, when I took about it always felt like I had to pee but couldn’t ever empty my bladder fully, I woudl get blurry vision if I took it and couldn’t sleep, once I got an physically exhausting daylight schedule job I was able to sleep perfectly without it, though now I’m on night shifts occasionally I take it paired with melatonin… I need to stop

I have taken Benydryl most of my adult life, I am now 66 and I take 3 at night most nights, for sleep and allergy relief. I do not take it all day every day, but I do take it at night due to severe allergic reactions. My memory is not bad, and I can sleep 5-6 hours straight, which is just enough for me to function fairly well.
