Had to click cuz demons got me to do my neck too but I survived (obviously) w/ an emergency surgery & the Patient Safety Rep sitting next to me was like "oh wow you're the one who nicked her jugular!" I woke up in a sea of blood. They were giving me blood in ambulance. Craziness.

Having an encounter with Christ is not the same as knowing Christ. Christ has always revealed Himself to HIS PEOPLE and even to OTHERS WHO ARE NOT HIS (for example to Pharoah). It's from GENESIS to REVELATION. But after coming to the Knowledge of Christ which is just the beginning of our journey we need to die to our self, pick up our cross daily and follow HIM alone. HE IS THE TRUE SHEPHERD. THE same SHEPHERD whom king David talked about in Psalms. The Holy spirit always reminds me of the Parable of the Sower.

Let us trust in the LORD JESUS alone. After coming to know the LORD, we are to follow HIM alone and not men. Most people have wonderful encounters with Christ and then go astray after men's traditions. I was one of them, but God has disciplined me severely and by His grace and mercy, HE came and warned me and told me to seek Him and His truth alone and after that I've indeed sought Him with repentance and with a heart for God alone. Great are His mercies, but we must not take His mercies for granted always. Many are so good at quoting verses, preaching God's word, singing worship songs, and appear like godly people but are still so deceived by men's traditions. They would rather that men teach them and listen to them than that God teach them and listen to God. People, it is a promise from our LORD GOD JESUS. HE is our teacher. No man need teach us. Let us all repent and turn to OUR LORD for HE is gracious and near to all those who humble and repent.

This was an amazing testimony! I was a backsliding Christian in the late 80s, early 90s and was into punk rock like ministry, joy division, descendents, 808 state etc and it took me down a dark path of rebellion toward God. Now, at 54, I have a close relationship with Yeshua and abide in Him daily. All the years I wasted are heartbreaking, but He has restored those years the enemy took. Thanks for posting!

My dad was an atheist and was abusive. I got in a lot of trouble in school and hated my dad. Around 18 I took a job as a male stripper in St. Louis. My freshman year in college my neighbor led me to Christ. I had a lot of demonic stuff happen to me after my conversion. For me this was strange bc I thought Christians were protected. I realized later bc of my life as a stripper I had all kinds of demonic attachments. My dad eventually came to Christ after my conversion and the craziest thing we ended up going to seminary together for a while. Since Christ we became close friends. He went on to to teach in church, and me and my wife have been serving in ministry with Campus Crusade for 25 years. Our ministry is to college students were my life was first touched, and we are both Christians counselors. Only Jesus can do this. Julie nothing but love for you friend....God bless your work!!!
