I have never heard of this show! My parents mostly let me watch shows that were considered "Satanic" by most churches like The Smurfs for instance!

Never seen the show before. May had seen a piece of it channel surfing. All I know is that the dude looks quite creepy, and I'm not surprised he would do that. Sometimes it's better when they go buy-buy.

It's not just him being a man, women are also creepy and dangerous. It's inappropriate. Those parents are so negligent, not blaming them for what happened to their kids, but COME ON, use some logic - why would an adult man want kids at his house all the time? You should start using CSEM/CSAM instead of CP. As most people in the field are moving away from CP. CSEM/CSAM highlights the abuse and exploitation more than just porn. Especially because children CAN'T consent. And porn (not always, mind you) is something adults consent to making.

The only thing scarier than seeing Psalty the singing songbook on TV was seeing your 6’4” youth pastor dressed in a terrifyingly perfect replica costume complete with his own perm dyed blue to match. The blue tights were too much, especially for children sitting on the floor with a view of his “binding”.

Psalty was better as a record/tape/cd set. The show looks creepy, although I've never seen that. My parents had a few Psalty records and my family listened to them all the time when i was growing up.

Life With Grandpa was also a weird show apparently. I never watched it, but it's from a religious cult. The cult is currently called The Family International, and are still running today. The original cult leader David Berg, is dead. However his wife still runs it as far as I know. Worth a deep dive, if you're brave.

It’s crazy to look back at my time growing up in that era and thinking how much trust my mom had in the people of her church. She let one guy who ran a camp take to the Myakka River to swim and jump off the bridge. That river is infested with alligators. She let another single middle aged weirdo take me up in his tiny airplane. The guy was weird.

Okay, I watched the rest... OMG! That was tough to watch, it gets me soooo angry! The kid told them back n 2000 and they didn't believe him and now the police don't apologize to that victim or anything, they just want the credit for finding out stuff that had been told to them for several years? I hadn't heard of the Salty show, but I was raised in a christian house, and the bible I had as a kid was a Salty bible. Thankfully the picture of him on the cover was SIGNIFICANTLY less creepy than that dude dressed as him.
