ОтветитьMedical supplies in the floor? That is kinda hard to believe. Mainly cause it doesn't make sense
ОтветитьWell done!
ОтветитьWhy was there blood in there? Did the snipers get hit or did the Union overpower them? Are those holes left open all year round?
ОтветитьI am sure metal detectors folks have combed the down range areas a thousand times by now
However it would interesting to note from a CSI perspective if some one had and could link them to the snipers nest
IDK
No doubt the rats, flies, and maggots had plenty to eat there that early July.
ОтветитьA few positioned Confederate mannequins in the Attic might've been interesting.
ОтветитьThe present owners have serious resource$.
ОтветитьSo i had just watched the Andersonville video and now this one. I saw George Washington Schriver died in Andersonville
ОтветитьWhy don't you do video on the battle of Baron Hill is a very little battle hardly anybody knows anything about it but my great great great great grandfather died in the battle of Barron Hill. He was American Indian, but Lil is known about it. The Lil is known about people who died in that battleand Lafayette led the battle. I would really appreciate some information on that.

ОтветитьI went to Gettysburg very fast several years ago but no real idea of where to go. This is where I’ll be going when I go again
ОтветитьI do have a suggestion for something you might want to do a video on. My.great great grandfather was Dr. Francis Eppes Manson. He was born in Virginia, but bought a plantation in McDonogh Georgia. His last wife was Mary Jane Ayer, a Northern school teacher. My ancestor from her was Parrish Ayer Manson . On Sherman's March to the sea, The Plantation was destroyed. (I don't know how much if anything remains). Parrish was taken in by his Ayer relations in Maine. My great great grandmothep,Mary Jane, died in Atlanta. Great great grandpa, the Dr. Was a member of the legislature, was a Minister, on his deathbed set his slaves free. End of this is the Manson's lost everything on the March to the Sea, the Ayers is Maine were still quite to do, so When took in Great Grandfather P. Manson, they never let him forget it, saying he was just a poor relation. Saying in the family was "Them Ayers and their piss pot Airs". I see a great war story in this. Of love, death, birth and war. I'm told the papers with all of details of the March were kept by the Ayers, would sell it for a price.
ОтветитьGreat video but did you mention George Washington Shriver was captured by Mosbys calvary and later died in Andersonville prison? Great book by Schiffer books about Tillie pierce, 15 years old who was a neighbor and describes the hell in vivid detail . Hettie later remarried. Will visit this house definitely. Always bypassed it on visits
ОтветитьThis is amazing. BIG SHOUT OUT to Nancy for basically allowing you to make yourself at home. So cool.
ОтветитьMy wife and I were there last week, Fascinating. My favorite part of the house was indeed the downstairs pub.👍
ОтветитьGreat video!
ОтветитьIm a civil war reenactor and the shriver house in Gettysburg is well known but in my opinion the musket with the paper cartridges near the hole is the icing on top
ОтветитьYou said Jennie Wade's name because she's probably been following you around monitoring your tours. To make sure you don't miss anything interesting and important. 😉
Ответитьhumans. awesome brutha.
ОтветитьTillie Pierce lived next to the Shriver’s and was good friends with Molly and Sadie. She wrote an excellent book about her experience during the battle.
ОтветитьI just wonder what the future generation will write about are history these days? Spoiled, computer, world, there will be no history, due to nuclear, I prey I'm wrong..
ОтветитьThat warning note warning was real. The next year they burned Chambersburg.
