ОтветитьBACON GREASE
ОтветитьMy aunt taught me to build a fire and put them in it, it will burn everything off.
ОтветитьFantastic! I would have bought a new one and seasoned it. I don’t have the patience (or a back yard) to do all that stuff.
ОтветитьWow transformation
ОтветитьBacon grease best
Ответить👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
ОтветитьPut it in a hot fire an leave it till it's cool. Then wash an put Crisco on it an rub good with paper towels till the pans come clean.
ОтветитьYou have made it like new. Great work lady.❤❤❤
ОтветитьImpressive I’m surprised the chemicals worked so well, I would have just started with sandpaper.
ОтветитьWow that need a lot cleaner
ОтветитьGreat job 👏
Ответитьcast iron is too much trouble and weight!
ОтветитьSoak it in vinegar 24 hours it will come off no problem
ОтветитьI love my cast iron pans.
ОтветитьLye method girl
Ответить❤
ОтветитьI use coconut oil. It works very well and is microbial.
ОтветитьI love rescuing damaged cast iron pans. I found one at a outdoor rummage sale that had been running for a weekend filled with rain. When I found it, it was red with rust. I bought it for $3 and took it home and brought it back to life. So rewarding.
ОтветитьMy oven has a cleaning setting and I put mine in it and it comes right off
ОтветитьThe best way, that is if you can - build a big arss roaring fire, place that skillet in the hottest part of that fire and leave it there until the fire burns out. It will take that skillet down to the bare bones. That's how I clean all my all rescued cast iron cookware.
ОтветитьU did a great job
Ответитьhow did u get the flakes off ??? I'm trying to restore some but they have flakes on the outside 😫
Ответитьlooks brand new
ОтветитьBacon grease! That's what my grandmother used and her mother used. Fry up some bacon in the skillet. Remove bacon, drain excess amount out of skillet. Leaving enough to rub on sides. Put in warm oven for a hour. I would put the oven on 350. Then when bacon is done turn oven down to 275. And put skillet in the oven.😊
ОтветитьBest way for cleaning cast iron every day cleaning is course Salt, and lemon. Then heat to dry and season well.
ОтветитьLooking 👀👀👀 good 👍👍👍💛💛💛
ОтветитьYou did a fantastic job
ОтветитьYou did a great job wow!
ОтветитьWow, really goes to show that where there's a will there's a way. If someone had told me to clean that thing without at least an angle grinder and wire wheel, I'd have told them to kick rocks.
ОтветитьCongratulations!! Great Job!
ОтветитьIf the inside is rough, especially the bottom, sand it smooth. This step is no longer done by Lodge, in order to save money.
ОтветитьYou just answered my question, mine is way over do for a cleaning, Monday morning I'll right on it, thank you
ОтветитьI have found the best way to season a cast-iron skillet is to cook in it, get you some bacon girl put that grape seed oil back on the shelf
ОтветитьBeautiful
ОтветитьThrow it in your campfire for about 30 minutes on each side to season it very well before you grease it down
ОтветитьSeeing soap on a cast iron 😢
ОтветитьGreat job!!🎉
ОтветитьNice job! Enjoy the pan.
ОтветитьThat's a real good suggestion. Very good❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьFor keeping up with the pandashians 😂😂😂used tomato paste leave it for 5 min
ОтветитьBeautiful job!! I'm trying all of this
ОтветитьWhat temp in the oven?
ОтветитьOH MY GOD! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO 😭😭😭😭😭😭 I have my grannys and her mom's cast iron but I can't use it anymore!! They've just gotten to a point that no amount of scrubbing is keeping your eggs from turning gray 😭 I have been so sad not being able to use them but all these crazy ass methods I've seen I can't do those! And I can't afford to pay for all of them to be professionally done! AHHHHH! I'm going to try this ASAP I want my pans back 😢😢😢
Ответитьwhats the temp for the oven?
ОтветитьCast iron is porous never put chemicals to clean it vinegar baking soda and heat is the best way to clean it
ОтветитьI bought a LARGE and a small one at Wal mart last year. I am so glad I did.
ОтветитьYES ! I love cast iron - Most of mine has 1970s enamel (red or yellow). My other cast iron is from my grandmother , and I'm 80. Yes it can last forever
ОтветитьNever use water on a cast iron pan ! Use oil and use oven
ОтветитьSo satisfying to watch. Nice job! Does your Mother-in-Law want the pan back?
