As a recent PhD graduate (Caribbean and LatinAm history) and a current postdoctoral fellow, I really enjoy watching your videos! Not only do I think you give important advice to graduate students (both at the masters and PhD levels), on a more personal note, it is fun to revisit my own journey as an emerging scholar through your own!
ОтветитьI’m so clueless about Literature Review and I wish I had this years ago lol
ОтветитьNext time I teach this, I plan to share this video with my students!
ОтветитьYou have no idea how timely this is! 😅 Thank you so much!
ОтветитьI recently was conferred with an MA in English the day before my 60th birthday. You videos have really provided inspiration for me to sit down and write. I’m now working on a proposal for a Call for Papers on Jane Austen. Thank you for this video as it will aid me in my research during the next few weeks.
Ответитьi’m currently taking city college classes as a post-bachelor’s student working on preparing my writing/research sample for PhD applications (political science) and this is so perfectly timed it’s crazy!! immediately pulled up goodnotes to take notes on your strategies. thanks so much for so many free resources! best wishes on your dissertation!!!
ОтветитьGreat information! I wasn't taught how to read for a literature review, only to just read for the review. Didn't take long to get overwhelmed. A few searches online helped me learn a better process.
ОтветитьHelpful for new friends
ОтветитьI'm just starting working on my literature review. This is really helpful and insightful, it is good to see how to incorporate AI in our research journey as well. Thank you!
Ответитьi always dreaded literature reviews, primarily because i wasnt passionate and taught HOW to do them correctly. it was more a bureacratic procedure in new courses. this helps tremendously. the way you approach academic writing has helped shape and inspire my own interests beyond my academic degrees. i do alot of non fiction reading, and with how you have taught me to critically analyze texts, its made me want to research more indepth. this video will blow up and become a holy grail for many many students, guaranteed. im so excited for you to hit 100k, and grow more in your content creation. <3
ОтветитьGreat video thanks 🎉❤
ОтветитьIt is so helpful Kaelyn thank you so much for your videos contents ! Motivates me to work and keep pushing! 🙌
ОтветитьI love watching your videos, particularly for how different research is between the humanities and STEM subjects!
Ответитьnice and succinct. i will share with my students.
ОтветитьI absolutely love your videos and as a 1st year PhD Candidate with no research background, this video is exactly what I needed! The way that you explain and approach writing a Literature Review is so easy to understand and has given me inspiration and motivation towards mine! THANK YOU!! :)
ОтветитьWorld's neatest handwriting :)
ОтветитьReally enjoyed watching your video, especially when I am a first year PhD student. Many thanks!
ОтветитьI have just finished my MA in history on Trust and Faith in African Midwives in Southern America 1808-1965. My first chapter focused on slave-midwives and emancipated midwives in the nineteenth century. Start my PhD next year on Birth Control and Abortion in African American women 1920-1945. We do a historiography in our theses. When I did my MSc we called it a literature review.

ОтветитьWhat programs do you use to write with your ipad and apple pen? I'm starting my first semester of grad school in January, and I really want to learn how to utilize it
ОтветитьAgain, such useful information. I wish I had entered grad school with this information. I have another year and will put this to great use. Now I feel confident how I can pull my Literature Review together. THANK YOU!
ОтветитьI really enjoy watching your videos, thanks a lot
